She rubbed her arm to ease off the pain the looked at the direction were the ball came from. She saw a little girl running to her calling "Sister... Sister.. ma is calling for you. She said you have been gone for a long time and she needs the water so she can finish up with the food before pa come back" she came closer to her sister and took her ball while saying "why did you take this long" she said and her eyes saw the already filled jug of water " and you filled the jug why didn't you just head back home. Did you know that mum had to stop me from playing so I can come call for you. you always make things difficult for me" she said with an angered tone.
Eboti immediately got up and quickly carried her jug of water and headed home. She had completely forgotten that her mum was waiting for her at home so they can finish with cooking before her father return home with his visitor.....
Our way home was unexpectedly long. My sister's complains were getting louder and louder I could not hear the birds or the squirrels. She kept on complaining on how because of me she doesn't get to enjoy her young self. That when she found time to play with her friends that's when I do get missing and ma will send her to come looking for me. I actually don't blame her because it is true, most of the times I get lost either in my thoughts somewhere or enjoying the forest and the sound of the animals or when i runs to a cliff to watch the sunset she will always be the one to come get me. Mae was 10 years old and she was a talkative but still I love her so much. My parents had thought that I was going to be their only child because after my birth ma stayed for so long without being pregnant. I was the happiest when ma finally got pregnant. I finally was going to be a big sister. I cherish my family cause they are everything to me.

When we got home ma was worried sick. She looked at me before talking "Eboti hurry go to the kitchen and get useful I don't have the strength to shout. Your Father will be arriving soon". I hurried to the kitchen and got useful and before Pa came we were all done with the preparation.
Pa brought home a stranger, someone I never saw before but I can guess he was one of the men who sell lands for the "Devil King". Speaking of him make me Shiver, people say his directly from hell. He shows no mercy to anyone, rumors has it that he is very ugly and fat, that his very hideous to see. I have wondered why people will spread such rumors about their king. I for one admire the fact that he is able to rule all the five land in the East and preserve peace over his people. People say he attends to all irrespective of the social class and give justice. I mean who wouldn't admire such powerful king. But the rumors about his personal life always make me break down in cold sweat. Not that I care just very curious about this king of ours.
Pa and his visitor spoke for a long time and finally it was time for him to go. Pa walked him out of the compound and after some time he came back.
