"Gangsters!?" Xiajun exclaimed. "Does everyone seriously think there's a gangster living within these walls?"
Shuchang shrugged as he poured more syrup over his omelet. "Personally, I think that's bullsh*t. I've known the old lady for a while and she doesn't look the type to just let whoever in. I mean, when I arrived at her doorstep, she asked for all sorts of identification documents; I almost had a crisis."
Qiao Qiao laughed and slapped him on the back. "Good one! I remember how she wouldn't let me get past without me letting her check my hair, since it being too big directly translated into me carrying bombs in it for her!" Then she laughed and laughed some more, as if she had said something really funny. Xiajun didn't have the heart to tell her how irritating she was.
"And has the old lady not addressed this yet?" Xiajun asked with a sigh, as he grabbed a plate off the stack.
