When Hanni finally arrived with the female employee at her heel, her expression was unreadable.
"What happened?" Xiajun asked, stubbing the cigarette with his foot.
Hanni went back to her seat quietly. It was the female employee who responded. "Sir. . ." she hesitated. "Where did you mention the cut would be?"
"The leg," Xiajun responded. "Why, is something wrong?"
"Well, it appears that there was indeed something on the leg. . ." she said. "A fresh cut, wrapped in a bandage. Right above her knee."
Officer Chang threw up his hands. "Well that proves it then! Guilty, she's certainly guilty!"
"BUT!" the female employee interrupted. "The woman claims it was a gash she got as a result of a fall. She claims it's not a stab wound, but I can't tell the difference."
