"Have you told your family that you are pregnant?" asked Alvin's grandmother.
"Not yet, Grandma. I don't dare say it yet," answered Rissa.
"Do you think the man who got you pregnant would be responsible for your pregnancy?"
"He should, but I haven't had the chance to tell him yet."
The grandmother slowly nodded as if she understood Rissa's way of thinking. "Okay. You calm down. Even if the man who got you pregnant doesn't want to take responsibility and your parents kick you out, my house will always be open to accepting you. However, on one condition."
Rissa widened her eyes and ventured to look into her grandmother's sharp eyes.
"W-what is the condition?"
"You should stay here and be my good granddaughter."
The grandmother laughed, and Alvin laughed too. Rissa smirked in confusion. Should she join in laughing or not? Where's the funny thing?
"There are no conditions, Rissa," said Alvin, still laughing.
