Chapter 4 - 4. Reva's Bad Mood

"Charl, do you want to accompany me to Jakarta on Sunday?" Reva asked with a smile.

Charlos swallowed hard as he slightly lowered his head. "I wish I could accompany you to Jakarta. But ..." Reva's smile faded. "I have another appointment on Sunday too."

"Okay, no problem..."

Charlos's cell phone rang. Its loud voice made Charlos almost jump out of his chair because his ears were accustomed to Reva's soft voice.

"Hello! Hi Satria! Tomorrow?" Charlos's eyes glanced at Reva, who was watching her every word. "Mmmm ... Oh yes. What time? Yes, I'll come later. Thanks, Sat." Charlos hung up the phone. "Sorry. Where were we?"

"Who is Satria? Where are you going tomorrow?" Reva asked suspiciously, more like an accusation.

"Oh, Satria is my friend. Tomorrow he invites me to practice the Christmas drama."

"You must be coming, right?" asked Reva.

"What? Practice? Of course. Don't laugh at me. I'm talented, you know." Reva didn't want to laugh at all. Reva continued to glare at Charlos.

"I mean to the Jazz Festival."

"Oh, sorry. I ... When? Sixth to eighth, right? Mmm ... I don't know. Maybe. Actually I ..."

Reva's eyebrows raised. "You can go to spare some time for ... drama practice but you said 'maybe' to come on my own show?" Reva's voice rose.

"I ..." Blood receded from Charlos's face. His mouth opened slightly, and then he closed it again. His hands were shaking. Reva has never been angry before.

"Oh yeah ... What the hell do I expect from a CEO who's super busy? Dating? Dinner?" Reva grabbed the glass and took a large sip of wine.

Date? Could it be that Reva was expecting anything more from their current relationship? Was that something the same as Charlos wanted? Charlos's heart skipped a beat. He was happy that Reva took him seriously. But maybe now is not the right time to discuss their relationship.

It was clear that Reva wanted himself to be at the Jazz Festival. Charlos will do anything to make Reva's wish come true. Oh, wait a minute, Reva called him a super busy CEO. Seriously.

"Don't call me like that, Rev. You know that we are both busy." Charlos ventured to take Reva's hand. "I'm not refusing to go to the Jazz Festival. I'll come if I can. Actually, on sixth I have to go to Singapore. CN Group has agreed to my project this time. On eighth I just got home. I'll go straight there. Hopefully I had time. "

Reva let go of his hand grip. Reva's face was still filling with anger.

"Rev, I beg you not to be angry. I really appreciate you trying to persuade Jack so you can go to the Jazz Festival in Indonesia. The point is so we can meet, right?"

"The Jazz Festival has nothing to do with our meeting." Reva's tone was so cold that Charlos shudder. "The Jazz Festival will still take place in Indonesia with or without me. But I will still meet you because you promised that we would meet today. Remember, Charl, you set the date for our meeting yourself."

Reva looked at Charlos sharply while leaning against the back of the chair. Reva's face was severe.

"I know that since earlier you kept replying to messages on your cellphone. Then several times you called your secretary about work. You must be very busy today! Then why are we meeting?" Reva's right hand was tightly holding the fork. Charlos was worried that it would fly to his face.

"Sorry that I couldn't predict my work schedule well." Charlos snorted softly. "I should have checked the construction of Poseidon today."

"Oh great, then why don't you just go there?" Reva's eyes widened.

They were silent for a long time. It seemed that Reva regretted that made Charlos' face turned pale. Reva looked down.

"I purposely left today's schedule so I can meet you. Checking Poseidon's construction is no more important than meeting you, Rev," said Charlos. "Now you're in front of me. But we've been fighting. It feels ..." Charlos shook his head.

"I'm sorry, Charl ..." Her gleaming eyes slowly melted away. His voice was velvety soft. "I don't want to fight with you. I'm just worried that you won't come to the Jazz Festival."

"You don't have to worry, Rev. I will come. I will definitely come. I will fly as soon as possible to Jakarta. Please, Rev, don't make it difficult for me."

"What?"

"It's hard enough for me to meet you. With all the facts ... This is completely new to me. I'm just doing what I think is right. I think this is a little crazy." Charlos shook his head.

"I never made it difficult for you, Charl." Reva's tone was cold again. "You make it hard for yourself!" Reva got up.

"Rev ..." Charlos was about to grab Reva's hand, but he didn't get it.

"Okay, Charl. Stop here right. I'm tired. I'm going to rest. Good night."

"Rev! Reva! Reva!"

Reva was going with the guards to leaving Charlos alone there.

This thing is entirely out of plan. Charlos and Reva had just met a few hours after waiting for four years.

He got heartbroken when he saw Reva stepping off the feet, leaving him alone. It turns out that the reflection of Reva's evaporating and disappearing really happens. Something in his chest ached. He didn't know what it was.

Charlos took a deep breath. Maybe this is his fault for not paying enough attention to Reva. Charlos examined his heart, whether it is that difficult to love a Reva. With all the facts that do not allow them to be together.

You make it hard for yourself!

Reva's words were still ringing in his mind. Maybe Reva was right, and he made it difficult by himself.

Charlos still doesn't understand Reva's compassionate attitude. Could it be that Reva also had the same feelings as him? Annoyed, Charlos stabbed the Coq Au Vin, which had almost run out.

The waiter brought dessert: Chocolate Mousse. Charlos looked up, staring at the maid with a ruthless gaze. The waiter gasped; he pulled the plate back onto the tray, hurried out of the room.

Charlos was angry. He slammed his knife against the table. He had to go to the hotel to see Reva. But maybe he should give Reva some time to cool off. Reva still had a bad mood. Tonight's not a good time, Charlos thought. His heart struggled at the idea. In the end, Charlos decided he had to act slowly but surely and also carefully.
