Chereads / The Legendary Fishner / Chapter 2 - Max Class Attribute

Chapter 2 - Max Class Attribute

Sitting at my usual spot at the Chrome mines, by the Chrome river, I was doing my daily duties. This was one of the few spots where a user could both fish and mine at the same time. It was also the least populated of these spots. With my fishing rod in one hand, a pick in the other, I am both mining and fishing at the same time. My skill proficiency level was very high. The exp boost I get from doing the class activities was also very high. I am almost level 100 in both. By my calculations, just 10 more minutes of this was enough. I was thinking whether this was the end of my journey here in Myrage. If I get both my classes to 100 and no other way to max out my regular level, there would be no point in the game anymore. Nothing new and exciting.

As I was pondering over my situation, I was breaking rocks with my right hand and pulling out rare fish with my left. I was so good that I didn't have to pay attention anymore. Suddenly after pulling out a golden swordfish and cracking a Mythril ore, my status window showed the level up screen. "Level up! Congratulations, you have reached level 100. Unlocking Target Switch and Attribute Transfer." Huh? what's this?

"TARGET SWITCH - You will consider all enemies as objects that you would use your class on, " showed the status window. Is it saying that I target all my enemies as fish or as ores from now?

"ATTRIBUTE TRANSFER - The main points collected from the class are sent to combat points to use", showed the status. This means I get a humongous amount of points to allot into the different combat stats! This is insane! With this, I will have more than enough power to take part in level 100+ dungeons, even though my level is only 30. This has got to be a gift from the developers. They knew I'm the only one who was close to maxing out.

The dungeons have a level range in which they allow players. So I could never attempt a dungeon, as my combat power was way lower than the average player. Now, however, I could try my hand in a dungeon with these new abilities. Immediately I left for Chrome Town. Some towns have buildings for appointing dungeons called Saloons and a place to store and take back equipment as well as Lusos, called Banks. Lusos is the currency of the game. I entered the town and went straight to the Saloon. It had been ages since I went there, as I had never entered a dungeon in years. There were players everywhere, near the Notice Board, which holds the list of dungeons available, and also at the tables near the bar. This was usually where you would try to form parties for dungeon raids. I decided not to draw too much attention, so I went straight to the Notice Board to pick out a dungeon. I definitely had way more combat points than the average requirements for my level, so it would be safe even if I picked the most dangerous one around. That's when I found:

Castle Pavrime - Time passed since issued: 2 years

Difficulty: Critical

Recommended number of players in the party: 8

Damn! 8 in a party recommended dungeons are very rare. I don't care though. I've decided. I'll take this on with all my might! I took the sheet to the Officer, which was an NPC who confirms your dungeon pick. "Castle Pavrime confirmed to player Daren. You can take up a party of 1 to 10. The dungeon will begin in or before two hours. Please reach the Teleporter by then." My Dungeon has now been confirmed. It's time for me to gear up for the fights to come.

I made my way to the bank. "Hey, Daren! What can I do for you?" The Banker NPC is kind of friendly with me since I always come here often to store my fish. Food in this game helps restore HP. So I stocked up on all the juicy cods and tunas. I picked those that were enough to heal me to full HP every time, and since I was pretty low levelled, I had many fish which could do that. I didn't really have any armour with me, and Chrome Town didn't have any Armouries. Even though it would be risky, I decided to attempt the dungeon without protection. At this point, I almost didn't care if I die in the dungeon. However, now for my weapons, thanks to my ability, I can use fishing rods and picks. I took out my Lyrium coated Angleraide, a legendary rated fishing rod, and I took my Edanthum Rock Crusher, a unique rated pick. This had the highest proficiencies in fishing and mining. Let's see how well it works in a dungeon.

After leaving the bank, I evenly allotted attributes in power, speed, defence, evasiveness and luck. Just enough for me to be strong enough for a regular dungeon. the remaining points I can allocate whenever I need as situations arise. Now that I'm completely prepared, I make my way to the Teleporter.
