[You learned the skill: Chop]
The moment Sayer woke up, he was greeted with a few system messages that gave him a pleasant surprise. Although his body was severely aching, he could still look at the information for the skills and such.
"Show me the information for the skills Bash and Chop." Immediately after Sayer spoke, a few system screens appeared displaying the information for the skills.
[Skill: Bash]
[Description: When activated, the user's next hit will be more lethal and have a chance to stun the enemy. The user's next attack is blunter, so precision and accuracy drop by 5%.]
[Skill: Chop]
[Description: A downgraded version of the 'Sever' effect but more practical. When used, anything that isn't strong than the user's weapon will have a 50% chance of being completely chopped in half. The user's next attack is also more lethal.]
"Huh. Not bad if I use these skills for the axe. Imagine if sever and chop were activated at the same time, what would happen then?" As Sayer was thinking about the combination of the two, he suddenly remembered something.
"Oh, show me the information for the basic axe mastery!"
A system screen soon appeared.
[Basic Axe Mastery]
[Description: The higher the basic axe mastery, the better the user is with the weapon. When the Basic Axe Mastery EXP reaches 100%, then it will become Intermediate Axe Mastery. Once all masteries are filled, the user can use any type of axe regardless of its weight, form, or power.]
Sayer was surprised as he read the system message. To think that something as simple as axe mastery could actually be a great benefit in the future.
He suddenly remembered something from a game he played back in his world.
'This is why you grind in games! If you just buy the end game items from some random and you're only level 10, you won't be able to use it to it's full potential!'
Sayer knew met all types of people who would do something like this. He tried to convince them not to throw away their money but they just ignored him and regretted it later.
"Sigh, I'm in so much pain but I can feel that my entire body is getting stronger. That battle yesterday was sort of like a body tempering..." Sayer said to himself as he struggled to get up while gritting his teeth.
Regardless of his situation, he was a hardcore gamer. And he just so happened to have been transported to a world of his liking, so no matter his body's condition, if he could still move then he could still do stuff.
Only, it was easier said than done because this was real life and he seemed to have forgotten that for a moment.
Sayer thought he could just get up and power through the pain, but he thought wrong because the moment he stood straight up he felt pain all over his body.
It would surge at one point and then subside for a while. Sayer found this incredibly annoying but he decided to try and get on with his day.
The moment he walked outside of the house, he saw the bodies of the bugs from yesterday, and only now did he smell the putrid stench of their corpses.
"Ew!" He made a swatting gesture with his right hand as he pinched his nose with the other. Sayer didn't want to do anything about the bodies but he knew if he left them there the smell would only get worse.
So, reluctantly, Sayer had to pick up with bodies and toss them near the area that he saw the wolf at before. He didn't bother waiting to see what happened because that wolf would probably eat him too if he stayed around there for too long.
"Haaa...What should I do today? I'm not in a good enough condition to go fighting more monst-Agh!" In the middle of speaking, Sayer felt a surge of pain all over his body and then a grumble from his stomach right after.
He looked down at his stomach with a confused expression before looking in the distance at a cluster of trees.
"Did that battle really take so much energy out of me? Hopefully there's some sort of food in this forest..." Sayer said as he grabbed his whip and axe and headed towards the forest.
There was no shortage of monsters within the forest but he would starve before they could kill him if he didn't find any food.
As Sayer entered the forest, he heard continuous ruffling in the bushes and faint shadows behind trees in the corners of his eyes. He gripped his axe and whip in both hands tightly as beads of sweat rolled down his head and a troubled expression appeared on his face.
He walked through the forest for 2 and a half minutes.
'Should I just look for some slimes and eat them?' Sayer thought to himself as he carefully looked around. He noticed a few slimes, they were all a translucent blue but one, in particular, that was completely grey caught his attention.
"Why does this one look different?" Sayer decided to approach the slime but before he could he noticed a colorful object hanging from a branch on a tree.
It looked like a banana but it was light blue with short deep blue spikes all over. It looked incredibly exotic and possibly poisonous to Sayer but when he looked at it, his stomach grumbled.
"I really don't feel like dying from eating a weird fruit but it's my only hope..." He gritted his teeth as he stood on his tippy toes, reached out, and grabbed the fruit.
The moment he grabbed it, a system appeared in front of the fruit.
[Marigold Deep Sea Banana]
"Huh? So it is a banana, just a weird one?"
