*Fwoo* A wall of flames that rose a meter high, circled Xin Feng to entrap him in one place.
Xin Feng did that himself to create a quick measure of defense against the curse. Because Matsuda told him that fire had been able to do its job against curses in the past, he figured that he could summon some around him to avoid other surprise attacks. Even if the curse was strong, it would reveal itself once it walks through the flame. The walls of flames were close to Xin Feng too, which means that the curse wouldn't be able to float above Xin Feng to face him. Its only way to attack Xin Feng was to either walk through the flames to touch him, or to use ranged attacks to hit him from above.
"Hehehe… You can't fly, can you? Nor can you use any ranged attacks."
