He and his brother were running away from the fanged hell spawns that looked as terrifying as the mythical dire wolfs. Apparently, the guy had injured his leg due to having fallen with his scooter, and was having a hard time running because of the injury that his leg had received.
The two of them had been driving their way home after school, unaware of the fact that a situation worse than the appearance of skeletons would appear.
A beast that looked bigger than a wolf had landed right in front of them, forcing them to hit the brakes and crash their vehicles. Luckily, the guy's brother wasn't as injured, so he was able to help with fending off the beast while the guy moved the vehicle away from his body.
