"Hey wifey!" Xin Feng called out to Hua Mei.
"Wha-?" Before she could finish her word, Xin Feng moved her chin close to his, and kissed her on her lips.
"May we be destined to meet again in the next live." He muttered, before he went for another kiss that might be the the last one ever.
In fact, it was the last, because a flash of light passed through them as they kissed. A loud sound of a massive explosion followed after that, before the power of the blast blasted them like they were mere dust in front of a fan.
…
Xin Feng woke up, filled with extreme pain. He was inside a crater that had a radius of fourteen miles.
The place where Xin Feng lay was hot due to the ground melting from the extreme heat that the beam. Where the centipede used to be, had turned into hot magma. There was no signs of live, for they seemed to have all turned into ashes. It made Xin Feng wonder how he was still alive when he couldn't find the centipede, Hua Mei, nor the mount.
"Balance, how did I make it out alive?"
"…"
'No response… Did Balance sacrifice himself?'
Suddenly, he heard a crack in the air. He looked up, to see the patriarch flying in high speed with his fist aiming for the ground. The patriarch went through the lava, and smashed the ground below it. Another blast was sent through to the area, but it wasn't fatal for Xin Feng, who was far from the source. The patriarch's punch made the ground rupture, as wide cracks opened up, which were so deep, that the magma inside the planet could be seen.
After a short second, the patriarch flew out of the lava with a completely different look. His skin was charred, but it looked like an improvement of his skin instead. His eyes that were glowing red before, had faded away, and only his pupils were left red. Horns that humans shouldn't have on their head, was visible on the patriarch's head as well.
"Rise! My children!" The patriarch yelled.
Loud screeches and mourning could be heard all together, which made it loud enough for Xin Feng to hear. They were coming from the depths of the artificial ravines, as they swam out of the magma and climbed up towards the surface. A rift that broke space itself was opened, as a familiar woman came out of it.
"You!" Xin Feng yelled when he saw the very same goddess who had brought him to his current world.
"Do you think I wouldn't find out that you are cheating? But don't worry, you won't be dying anytime soon." The goddess reprimanded Xin Feng with a gleeful smile, before she let out a divine aura that made Xin Feng's body heal within seconds. "Better?" She continued to ask, as she stretched her body in preparation to fight the demonic figure.
"Vanish, you filthy demon!" She yelled out, as she lashed him with a golden whip that appeared out of nowhere. The demon tried to block it with his arm, but the whip coiled right around his arms. She was a step ahead, and everything was going according to her plans. The demon was tossed away and slammed to the ground to join his underlings, while the shock wave of her attacks dealt great damage to Xin Feng's organs.
The demon was able to recover quickly, and when he rose from the ravine, he was filled with utter rage. He flew with speed that was so fast that the goddess couldn't react in time to avoid his punch.
*Bam!
A powerful shock wave reverberated through the surroundings. Xin Feng was sent flying, and when he managed to land on the ground, a bunch of undead grabbed onto him to eat his flesh. Xin Feng's situation had changed from a rag doll, into that of a race delicacy.
Endless pain from endless healing... The sensation of blunt teeth biting on his flesh and his most sensitive and vulnerable parts... A feeling that would never be forgotten by Xin Feng. A feeling of pain, and weakness...
The fight between the demon and the god would leave Xin Feng another set of pain, but thanks to aftermath of their strikes, the pain of being eaten would disappear for at least a second. Only a few seconds nonetheless, because not too long after, the undead would lung back at Xin Feng, like hungry beasts that craved for meat.
Xin Feng could estimate that the power of those two beings were higher than ExE's own. Destruction happened everywhere, and the crater became bigger and bigger. Xin Feng tried to call the overseers after getting the device out of his storage ring with strenuous effort, but it was to no avail. None of them replied. As he tried to listen, he could only hear the silent sound of wind.
Meanwhile, the fight between the two was getting more serious, as they started using their most powerful abilities. They were nothing too flashy, and instead looked elegant but simple. The goddess would use her divine powers to send invisible but materialized attacks, while the demon would deliver punches with raw strength.
Perhaps it was because of their level of power, why they had no need for flashy weapons and skills, or perhaps, it was because they wanted to waste the force of their attacks to injure the innocent Xin Feng.
The goddess continued with her whip, missing. However, she was still breaking reality, which brought an invisible force from the tear of space, that was able to tear up the demon's body.
The demon managed to evade getting critically hit, and received only a ton of deep bruises. He knew that his underlings couldn't help him, which was why he fought the goddess by himself.
At last, he decided to use a powerful attack, by bringing forth a red ball of powerful energy that had sparkling electricity on it. His hands were above his head, and the ball grew bigger and bigger above him. The goddess knew that attacking him while he was charging up his attack was foolish. Therefore, she stood still in front of him, fortifying her defenses to the peak.
The ball of filthy power kept expanding until it had a radius of five meters. That was when the demon decided to move his arms in the direction of the goddess to throw the attack at her.
When the attack touched her, it went around her to form a ball of energy for a quick second, before it exploded into an arc behind her. The arc of unlimited power cut through the planet within a millisecond. It cut away a part of the planet and a few other planets that stood in its way. It was more of a focused attack that would only destroy things that stood in its way.
Both the goddess and Xin Feng was cut in two. The attack was so concentrated that it made a clean cut through them and the planet. It was a horrifying sight for Xin Feng to see, because within a minute, he could see the upper part of his body that was left with him, grow back.
The goddess burst into particles instead of regenerating, before turning into a complete body again. Her recovery was different from Xin Feng, who could feel his bones and flesh rapidly growing as if snakes were slithering from his body.
'This b*tch is doing it on purpose!' He thought with intense rage, as the thought to kill her overwhelmed the pain he was experiencing.
"You f*kin piece of sh*t!" He tried swearing to the woman in front of him, as he was suffocating in space from the lack of oxygen. He was receiving healing continuously, and the undead were still persistent to eat him. Because the damned divine healing, he wasn't dying from suffocation or cold, or any harmful elements. It was a literal hell for him to stay alive.
At the time he was still not dying, the two continued their fight, sending lots of painful shock waves towards his direction again. The other part of his body had stopped floating above Xin Feng, as it had already passed him by, and had landed somewhere further in the west.
Another explosion, thrice the strength of the previous one, was experienced by Xin Feng again. Thanks to his good forsaken luck, he somehow managed to survive it without having a scratch on his body.
Due to their prolonged battle, Xin Feng had a feeling that the two in front of him didn't fight as serious as they were supposed to. His suspicion was mainly due to their injuries, which healed as fast as his did.
The one third part that was left of the planet made him doubt if they were indeed not using their full power. Xin Feng wanted to die already, but the radius of the goddess her blessings still reached him, even after the shock waves had pushed him further and further away from them. The problem of the undead had been taken care of, at least, however, floating in space while not being able to breath like a fish out of water, was not a pleasant sensation.
In the end, after what seemed to be years or even centuries, Xin Feng finally got far enough from the goddess. This meant that the speed of his recovery had finally decreased. It made things more painful of course, because he was in fact, still receiving a bit of healing, which made it hard for him to die immediately.
After suffering for what seemed to be an eternity, his vision finally darkened.
'Finally... I can rest. I had enough of all this torture...'
