Kim Hyuna sat inside her expensive convertible, bumping her forehead lightly on the steering wheel with a dead expression. As more time passed since the incident at the restaurant, the embarrassment inside Hyuna's mind also increased, and she felt physically drained because of it.
'So just WHY did I act so immaturely?'
Hyuna derided herself. As if to answer her own question, she unconsciously started to remember the events which led to her meeting with that accursed Moon Seojun once again...

The text message was still left unopened, as Hyuna's eyes devoured the screen, trying to read its contents without actually opening it. There was only one reason for it. Since it was a L*ne Message, the sender would know she read it if she opens it carelessly. And if they know she read it, they would expect a response β a yes, a no, or something.
But how could she respond? She didn't even know if HE would be there...
The boy who had been one of the most important existences in Hyuna's lives.
The same boy, who despite being so important to her, had hurt her in the worst of ways...
"God, this is so fucking frustrating!" Hyuna sighed, putting down her phone and pacing in her office. She felt like she had turned into a schoolgirl again, overthinking texts and overreacting over such simple matters.
It was downright ridiculous, and she couldn't believe her own childish behavior.
Just why the hell should she feel this way, anyway?
She was a changed woman since High School. It had been close to 10 years. Even IF he would be coming, it shouldn't matter to her!
... Yes, it would definitely not matter.
"Yeah," She nodded to herself, as silly courage filled her hesitant heart, "That's right. I don't care if he's gonna be there or not. We're basically strangers now."
Hyuna picked her phone once again, nodding to herself the entire time. Without a second thought, she opened the text message and began to read.

Hello fellow classmates! It has been 10 years since our graduation, and it is time we meet & greet each other! As the former President of our grade, I invite you to come and have some fun! It's totally informal and we're going for some beers and food γ γ γ

A blurry mirage of the President passed her mind. She remembered him β only briefly β as being the Jester and the President of her grade. 'At least this is real then,' Hyuna thought to herself.
A part of her had thought β or rather, hoped β that this was a prank so that she wouldn't have to risk going, but another part of her wanted to challenge herself. Show the world that she did not care whether HE would be there.
"I am going, and that is final," She told herself.
Consequently, Hyuna reread the message and noted the time and place. She texted it to Ms. Soo, so that her secretary would quickly clear her schedule appropriately. Finally, she twiddled with the letters on her phone and typed a simple reply to the President.
[Ok. ]
"Ha..." Hyuna sighed, after sending the text.
She gently reminisced of her years at River High β most of her memories of that time were filled with Him, but perhaps because of that, all of them were happy memories.
Hyuna had never enjoyed school much, but with Him, even the most mundane tasks turned enjoyable. She remembered everything so well, and with such zeal. But the happiness of that time was overshadowed by what came next.
Hyuna bit her lip pensively, staring at the text with conflicting emotions.
She did not know if she should be excited or scared.
