Five thousand years ago, the continent of Seraphix was thrown into utter chaos.
The three races had taken up arms against each other- vowing to decimate those who would not yield. Friends turned into foe, alliances were broken, and the first ever major conflict between the three races arrived.
It was said that not one was born happy during the era of the Ancient Epoch. The streets of every city- be it elf, human, or beastmen- were filled with blood and viscera. The brave and the cowardly alike lost their lives to sate the greed of their monarchs, blindly ignoring the pain they inflicted upon themselves and on others.
For a century, the three races fought, till they forgot the reason for their hatred, knowing only that those who are unlike them do not deserve to live happily. Soldiers swung their swords till their arms atrophied, commoners wept tears of blood as they lived on empty stomachs- it was as though demons had descended onto the earth, bringing with them nothing but misery.
All the hatred, turmoil, bloodlust, and greed tore at the warm embrace of the Mother, ruining nature and congealing into something much more sinister. The demons of men's hearts took form, giving birth to a creature that fed on the darkness of man. This creature was the antithesis of the Mother, and he was called 'Chaos'.
All those whom he touched turned into monsters. They lost their humanity, becoming nothing more than mere puppets to be used and then thrown away by Chaos. As his influence spread across the three kingdoms, the ground slowly blackened, the air became filled with poison, and that which was once full of life withered away till it was nothing more than a shriveled husk.
Those who were corrupted by Chaos hailed him as their new god, abandoning their previous lives to journey to his kingdom- like newborn babes crawling into their mothers lap. The Corrupted gained power by staying near him, trading their rationality in exchange for becoming vessels for Chaos's power. They spread his gospel amongst the three races, killing those who refused to believe in him.
In the face of such evil, the three races had no choice but to set aside their enmity and band together to defeat Chaos. Each kingdom sent their strongest warriors into his territory, hoping to put an end to his madness.
After months of arduous travel, six heroes emerged at the birthplace of chaos. Those who made it to the end showcased a perfect balance of power between the races- for there were two elves, two humans, and two beastmen.
The strongest warriors of the three races fought for seven days and nights, and in the end, managed to seal Chaos within the confines of his own temple. Moved by their efforts, the Mother granted these six brave warriors with transcendent abilities; each had their own unique power, and through this were born the Six Gods of Seraph.
With the help of their blessings, the miasma and demons that had spread across the three kingdoms were pushed back into the receding territory of chaos, confining everything that it had ever tainted within its boundaries.
Now he lies in wait for the seal to weaken, wanting nothing more than to devour every mark of the Mother till he rules over all.
