I looked around, and the place I was in was a church, but the crowd looked a bit old-fashioned. It's almost as if I attended a Victorian ball.
I let out a hurt cry as I tried to move my foot, and the man holding me adjusted himself to hold me properly.
'Wait...' I looked at the man with my squinted eyes to see he was the finest dress here. He had a Crown and a Cape. His black hair was slicked back, and his eyes were purple. His clothes were white and red. Colors of royalty.
'This man, is he a king? He thinks Im the messanger of the goddess? what goddess?' My head hurt as I couldn't take the light from the ceiling.
"The almighty messanger has been injured on her decent. The goddess has warned us that her messanger will fall from the heights." Someone I persumed to be a priest called out. "The goddess has sent us a saintess in the time of war with her. We can push back the enemy, not just with the church army as support."
"Hooray!"
The room burst into cheers as I passed out in the arms of the man who caught me. I woke up in a room where it was luxurious as if I was sleeping in a palace. The room was fit for a princess. Each and every turn was luxury with silks.
"Where is this?" I questioned, out loud only to be interrupted by the doors open. A gentleman with brown hair and red eyes like the Emperor bowed in front of me.
"Great, Messanger of the Goddess you have awaken! Do you have news for us from the goddess?"
I stood confused at the man and tilt my head. These people are strange to perceive me as the goddess messanger. He was dressed in finery and had the softest features.
"Oh, you must be confused... I am the Grand Duke of Romanis, Elijah Romanis. Your image mirrors the goddess, so you have to be her messanger."
"I...I..." I felt speechless in my moment of taking in the information. I was amongst royalty in a different world.
"Brother, you are scarring her."
I saw the man who caught me walking in with a bunch of people. They look like knights. The man kneeled down to me as I sat in the bed slowly.
"Young madame, you are in the Kingdom of Romanis. Your beauty and looks have been compared to the first goddess of this world, Valeria. You are foretold to come to us in our need of war to guide us in craftsmanship, divine power, and to represent the goddess as a messanger saintess."
"A Saintess? Is that what they call me now?"
I clenched the edge of the bed in a cold sweat. I knew I was never getting back to my world after that. But in honesty, to start over in a new world and forget the suffering there. I'm going to take this opportunity.
"Young Madame, what is your name? It must be as beautiful or mysterious as the goddesses."
"Chloe." I simply pronounced as I looked up, smiling softly.
"What a beautiful name...in the documents, your name is Khloros, no? Servant of Fertility and to Bloom of Springtime. Maiden of Spring sounds better. Using a normal name to get bye as a disguise, I see."
"Well, it's actually my name -"
"No, no need to lie, Khloros, your secret is safe in the royal palace to live your life as Chloe."
"Well, ok..." I sighed, and something crossed my mind.
"Sir, I have not learned your name... May I ask?"
The man chuckled and got up from kneeling to my level.
"I am Emperor Kian Romanis. The first Emperor of this empire and the youngest."
my face turned pale, and I quickly got on my knees and kneeled to him.
"I'm sorry, your majesty-!"
Then I heard him chuckle and quickly help me up.
"No need to kneel, Chloe. There is no need for formality when we are casually meeting. Besides, you are the goddess's servant, and there is no need to kneel. I might be punished for this."
The Emperor smiled and patted my head to get up. He was attractive and kind, and so is the Duke. I got up quickly and dusted the nightgown off.
"Okay, your majesty-"
"Call me, Kian."
"Okay, Kian."
The Duke stepped forward and smiled at me as he stared into my eyes.
"Call me, Elijah."
"Okay, Elijah and Kian, nice to meet you."
"Get some rest, Chloe. We have thrown a ball in your honor tonight. I had the maids measure you in your sleep, so dont worry about the dress."
As everyone left, my mind was focusing on how I got here, and I never took a look in a mirror yet for a change of appearance. The beauty they talk about. My hair was longer, is what I noticed, but maybe time has passed since I appeared in this world. I'm not beautiful enough to be compared to a goddess. I feel lied to.
'Maybe I should look into the mirror.'
As I looked into the mirror, I noticed my face was clear of blemishes, my hair was long, and was kept. What kind of sorcery is this...my eyes must be playing tricks on me. I look like a princess.
'Oh, this is me? Maybe I have been blessed by the goddess.'
"Oh, child, you have been blessed by me."
A voice came from behind me. As I looked up, I saw a mature woman who looked like me. Her long strawberry blonde hair was in curtain bangs, and her eyes were blue gems instead. Her clothes were of that you have seen of a goddess from Greek mythology.
"My dear child, you have suffered in your last world. You are now a child of mine. You are me, and I remade you in my image. The image you were supposed to be. But the bad news is my child. Your worst enemy has fallen in this world, but her image has changed, and she is unflavored by her empire but still a saintess."
"Is it, Maya?" I asked the goddess as she played with my hair and smiled down at me.
"Yes, it is. She hasnt learned of your presence as of yet, but I came to warn you that the goddess that invited her is Freya, my sister. Freya and I have been at odds, and she's not happy. Your fate is to marry in this world, expand upon its knowledge, and take care of the war ."
"But Valeria, how am I supposed to do that?"
"I can't reveal much, but you are from a modern society, and since you are a splitting image of me. I can give you a fracture of my power to complete what you need in this world. Goodbye, my child!"
"Wait, Valeria!"
I felt a powerful burst of energy in the room, and everything was quiet after.
"Suddenly, I do not feel like living in this world anymore..." I sighed as I pinch the bridge of my nose.
