Chapter 12 - Want to See Master

During lunch, Mu Qing and Lu Mingxi came to visit Xing Jiuan, bringing takeouts.

Xing Jiuan opened the door and let them in.

They had ordered a few sets of takeout that Xing Jiuan liked.

Xing Jiuan liked spicy food, and Mu Qing ate them with her.

This was a habit he had developed since he was young, and he would not change it.

Lu Mingxi couldn't eat spicy food, so he'd ordered a separate set for himself.

After all, Mu Qing had watched Xing Jiuan grow up. Naturally, he knew what she liked to eat and what she didn't like to eat. His tastes had also changed along with Xing Jiuan's, so there wasn't much difference between what they ate.

Xing Jiuan was a picky eater. She didn't eat many things, so everyone indulged her.

Xing Jiuan looked at the two sets of rice and chose a set with rice noodles.

Usually, when they ordered takeout, they would just eat some common snacks.

Even though Mu Qing looked domineering and powerful, he often ate snacks like rice noodles, hot spicy soup, and stinky tofu with Xing Jiuan.

Xing Jiuan ate very slowly. She still could not tell if this was reality or just a beautiful dream she was having before she would pass away.

If this was a dream, please make it a little longer. At least let her go back and see her master.

Xing Jiuan thought of the Master.

Xing Jiuan did not believe that he was a reclusive genius as he had claimed. The old man was even more childish than her, even going so far as to snatch her chocolates. He did not look like a formidable person at all.

However, her master was also very powerful. He taught her martial arts and had many disciples from various places.

Those people were her senior brothers and sisters. Every year, they would stay in the mountains for a period of time. On her birthdays, it would be even more lively. Her small house would be flooded with all sorts of gifts every year during this time.

At the thought of this, Xing Jiuan couldn't help but smile.

She was really happy during those days.

It was a happiness that Xing Jiuan could never get back later no matter how much she'd tried.

Master had picked her up and brought her home. He'd raised her and taught her many things. However, they had not met for more than a year.

She had angered her master.

In the end, she did not even have a chance to get her master's forgiveness.

After lunch, Mu Qing and Lu Mingxi left with the trash while Xing Jiuan slept for a while.

She felt exhausted. Her body was obviously in good shape at this time, but it felt a little like the time before she died. She was tired and sleepy, and nothing seemed to be able to arouse her interest.

She was clearly only nineteen years old right now. Even when Xing Jiuan died, she had only been twenty-one years old.

She lay down and soon fell asleep.

When the alarm clock woke her up at 4 PM, she realized that she had slept for a long time.

She went to wash her face and felt a little more awake. She then packed some things and was ready to leave.

The place where she conducted her racing practice was quite far. If there was a traffic jam, getting there would take even longer.

Xing Jiuan did not intend to drive there herself.

She looked at the door opposite hers. That was Mu Qing's residence. She waited for a while but did not dare to knock.

There was no need to trouble Senior Brother over such a small matter, and there was also no need to bring him along.

After all, it was her business.

Senior Brother had been away to handle some matters. After returning, he should have a good rest.

At the thought of this, Xing Jiuan turned around and went downstairs. Her back seemed a little lonely.

It was as if she was used to living alone and no longer needed company.

Xing Jiuan went downstairs. When her figure could no longer be seen and her footsteps could no longer be heard, Mu Qing walked out of his apartment.

He looked at the empty stairwell with a complicated expression. He seemed extremely upset. His fingers trembled as he leaned against the door, unsure of what to do.
