Chapter 5 - Halo Knight

"What's your name? How strong are you?" Thomas asked.

"Reporting, Sir Thomas. My name is O'Neill. I'm A level 2 elite soldier. I can deal with four level 1 dark creatures or one level 2 dark creature alone."

"If I form a battle formation with my subordinates, I can even deal with a level 3 dark creature."

So powerful!

This was Thomas' most intuitive feeling.

A single soldier could actually deal with four level 1 dark creatures at the same time!

Thomas had only barely managed to deal with three level 1 Skeleton Soldiers with the help of the Blood Spike and the Holy Sword Longsword.

At that time, if O'Neill had been there, he probably wouldn't have let that Skeleton Soldier escape.

"Very good. You and your men hide behind this Wall of Bones. Do not expose yourself without my instructions."

Thomas was prepared to hide O'Neill and his men. At the critical moment, he would give Hall a surprise.

"Yes, Sir Thomas!"

O'Neill knocked his chest and hid behind the Wall of Bones with three of his men.

These soldiers summoned by Thomas would obey Thomas' orders. Even if they had to die, they would do it without hesitation.

After seeing O'Neill and the others hide, Thomas looked at the remaining level 2 magic core in his hand and was troubled.

If it were any other Architect, a magic core might not be able to do much.

However, Thomas was a Super Architect. Making any building, he could save half the materials and time.

This level 2 magic core could be used to make a level 2 Wall of Bones, or a level 2 trap, or some other things.

However, after thinking about it, Thomas felt that these things did not increase his strength substantially.

Thomas decided to keep this magic core first and wait to see the specific situation of the battle before making a decision.

After making these arrangements, Thomas climbed up the Arrow Tower and kept looking around, trying to see further.

Unfortunately, the surrounding black fog was high and thick. Even if he was standing on the six-meter-tall Arrow Tower, he could not see the situation in the distance.

"It seems that I can only stay here."

Thomas sighed.

'If I can withstand Hall's counterattack, I have to create a building that can scout the surrounding situation,' Thomas thought.

At this moment, the sound of orderly footsteps came from the black fog.

"They're here!" Thomas was shocked. He quickly focused his attention and looked in the direction of the sound.

Teams of Skeleton Soldiers lined up neatly. They walked out from the black fog with broken round shields and machetes.

"One, two, three..."

Thomas counted them one by one.

When everyone in the team walked out, Thomas could not help but suck in a breath of cold air.

From the black fog, there were 28 dark creatures. 25 Skeleton Soldiers, 2 Skeleton Knights riding Skeleton Warhorses, and a Skeleton Mage walked out.

"Two whole teams of knights, and there's actually a Skeleton Mage. This bone is a bit hard."

Thomas' heart was in a dilemma.

Even the weakest Skeleton Mage was a level 2 dark creature at the beginning. Coupled with two teams of Skeleton Soldiers led by Skeleton Knights, the impact was enough to raze an entire village to the ground.

If he wanted to use the strength in his hands to defeat the other party, he would probably need some calculations.

The Skeleton Mage raised its head and saw the towering Arrow Tower. It could not help but be stunned. It immediately grabbed the Skeleton Soldier that was leading the way.

Thomas looked carefully and realized that the Skeleton Soldier that was leading the way was the same Skeleton Soldier that had escaped from him.

In that case, the Skeleton Mage leading the team should be the Lord Hall that the other party was talking about.

"Didn't you say that there's only one Architect here? Why is there a level 2 Arrow Tower here?" the Skeleton Mage Hall roared angrily.

"Maybe it's made from the magic core dropped by those skeletons." The Skeleton Soldier was also dumbfounded and stammered.

"Nonsense! It takes three level 2 magic cores to make a level 2 Arrow Tower. Even if you tear the knights who lead you into pieces, you can only get one level 2 magic core. Explain to me, how did he make a level 2 Arrow Tower? Did he conjure it?" Skeleton Mage Hall roared angrily.

Dark creatures and humans had been fighting each other for many years, so they had some understanding of each other's basic knowledge.

"I, I don't know!" The Skeleton Soldier was also confused. It really did not know how Thomas had made a level 2 Arrow Tower.

"Trash! What do I need you for?" Skeleton Mage Hall conjured an emerald-green flame in its hand.

Skeleton Mage Hall waved its hand, and the emerald-green flame flew towards the Skeleton Soldier.

Seeing this, the Skeleton Soldier subconsciously wanted to dodge.

However, it was too close to Skeleton Mage Hall.

The emerald-green flame had already arrived in front of the Skeleton Soldier.

Whoosh!

The emerald-green flame instantly wrapped around the Skeleton Soldier. In the blink of an eye, the Skeleton Soldier was burned to ashes by the emerald-green flame.

"Bless the Goddess of Life. It is indeed a level 2 Skeleton Mage. Otherwise, the flame would not be emerald-green." Thomas felt a little more at ease.

At this time... A Skeleton Knight who was following beside Skeleton Mage Hall said, "Lord Hall, it's just a level 2 Arrow Tower. We have two teams of soldiers. It's enough to tear it down before it kills us. At that time, won't the Architect be at our mercy?"

"Are you sure?" Skeleton Mage Hall asked sternly.

"Don't worry, I'm not that idiot. I'll definitely tear down the Arrow Tower and capture the Architect for you." The Skeleton Knight patted its chest and promised.

"Alright, bring your men and tear down the Arrow Tower for me!" Skeleton Mage Hall roared.

"Soldiers, form up and charge with me!" the Skeleton Knight said and pulled out the longsword at its waist. It waved it forward and a halo spread out.

Under the feet of the twelve skeletons he led, a strange halo symbol appeared.

"It's actually an Acceleration Halo. I didn't expect it to be a Skeleton Knight who has awakened a group ability." Thomas frowned.

Usually, when a skeleton was promoted to a Skeleton Knight, it would awaken a skill.

However, most Skeleton Knights would awaken combat skills like Charge, Cleave, and Solid Shield.

Only a small number of Skeleton Knights would awaken skills such as Haste Aura, Thorn Aura, and Recovery Aura that could be used in a group.

These kinds of Skeleton Knights were more difficult to deal with than Skeleton Knights who only knew combat skills. However, they also had a higher chance of dropping magic cores. Even buildings made of their magic cores would have the skills that they had when they were alive.

Thomas looked at the Skeleton Knight as if he was looking at a treasure.

"I want the magic core of this Skeleton Knight!"
