Chapter 22 - Live Broadcast of the Lottery Draw

Rohr stood by the window and looked in the direction of the school.

Rohr had looked in this direction countless times.

She hoped that her son would mature and stop being a prodigal.

She experienced disappointment in front of this very window countless times.

Finally, the day came.

The sky seemed to be even bluer than usual.

Rohr felt that Ryan had grown up in just one day.

The program team didn't miss the opportunity to film this rare scene.

"The brat's mother is touched!"

"Yeah, if my child was so outstanding, I would be touched too."

"There's no need to worry about a child like Ryan, he won't go hungry when he turns 18 years old ."

"Sigh, compared to an outstanding child like him, I wonder how that incompetent child of mine is doing."

In America, individuals who had reached the age of 18 usually had to fend for themselves, especially children from poor families.

The people of America watched as the camera focused on a beautiful figure of a woman.

"Ryan's mother is really pretty, huh?"

"Yeah, both mother and son have blonde hair and blue eyes."

"Jon's looks are pretty mediocre compared to hers."

"She's not talking. Looking at her silhouette makes me feel sad It's not easy being a parent."

At the lottery station.

The program team was dumbfounded.

Some people even thought that there was something wrong with the information that the program team had gathered.

How could such an outstanding child be a fuerdai?

He doesn't seem to be the type that would play truant, fight, smoke, or go to bars?

Other than being a little pompous, he didn't have any other issues?

But he had the right to be pompous, he was a competent guy.

When you dislike a person, everything that they do is wrong. On the other hand, when you like a person, all of their flaws are forgiven.

Ryan was being interviewed when he suddenly felt that something was missing.

He looked at the host and said, "Do you have any cigars? I want Cuban cigars."

His facade shattered.

The dream was over.

His morals had gone out of the window.

What happened to the good kid...

When the program team saw that Ryan was about to fly into a rage, they immediately handed a cigar to the host.

The host threw away the boldness that she had and quickly lit the cigar for Ryan.

He took a short puff and exhaled a ring of smoke. He frowned and said, "Everything about your program team is good, but the things that you provide are too low quality. This is probably trash amongst Cuban cigars."

He was being as mean as ever, but no one could bring themselves to dislike him.

This was when the chief editor sent a text message to the program team, it read, "Be careful when you are interviewing Ryan. Don't go to restaurants that are not high-end. Don't give Mr. Ryan trashy things."

"Mr. Ryan, I will take note of this," the host said as she winked at him.

Who would believe that this young man in front of them had earned more than 20 million dollars in just half a day?

"I hope that everyone can be more rational and understand this: everyone looks silly when they're doing things that they're not good at. I'm not good at academics and maths."

Everyone suddenly understood something.

Some of the parents watching the program began to reflect on their own actions.

Their children had expressed their likes and dislikes countless times. As parents, they would scoff at the things their children showed interest in and think that they were unimportant things.

Perhaps their understanding of the society had been wrong.

The parents went into deep thought.

If a child like Ryan was a brat, then every single child in the nation would be a brat too.

Even though he was a little pompous and mean, so what?

These traits were what made Ryan one of a kind.

The intelligence and talent that Ryan had displayed made him someone who was practically flawless.

"My father, Mr. Jon, constantly reminded me that he was a straight-A student ever since I was young."

"Since I understand the hardships of being a student, I won't be as harsh to him. Therefore, I hereby promise him one hour of playtime every day."

"I also feel like sending him to tutoring classes would be an insult to his intelligence, so he won't be going to any."

"Hmm... but workbooks are a must, so I'll buy him many, many workbooks for his revision."

"Yes, I'll even hire an expert to train his mathematical thinking."

"Consider this an act of kindness, exam results completely determine a student's success or failure in school."

Everyone was stunned.

Ryan had said more than ten statements in a row.

The rules and regulations that he had set for Jon were enough to make a person go crazy.

The mood now was totally different from before.

For a while, the host did not know how to respond.

"Oh my God, is this child taking revenge?"

"Don't say that. This is for learning."

"Pfft, I guess Jon is already dumbfounded."

Rohr watched Ryan's interview on the television, she covered his face with her hands, "This child, has he always been this quick-witted? Why do I feel like Jon is the star of the show instead?"

"Practice makes perfect. Similarly, doing plenty of revision will improve one's grades. He's not wrong! But why does it sound fo funny coming from Ryan? I feel like I'm laughing at Jon's misery."

"My goodness, stop saying things like that in such a serious tone, okay? I won't be able to stop myself from laughing."

..

The netizens in the live broadcast room were having a fervent discussion.

A storm was brewed and stirred up on the internet.

Ryan had the upper hand in this father and son swap.

The major media outlets had never reacted so quickly before.

They posted about Ryan's phenomenal trade at the stock trading hall.

They posted about Ryan's bold and fearless speech when he resigned.

They also posted about the time Ryan waited for the lottery draw at a western restaurant.

Some people even compiled the incidents into an article which became a hit on the entire internet.

News portal: "17-year-old Student Becomes Father, Does Something Shocking ..."

There was even a picture of a beautiful woman attached.

Immediately after that.

The major media outlets followed up with another article.

The headline: "Three-year-old Investment Prodigy Makes Millions in an Hour."

Hot topic: "Do You Want to Do This to Your Boss?"

It was followed by a video of Ryan scolding his company's boss and employees.

"Greatest Employee in History, Father's Ex-company's Boss Begs for Investment Genius to Return."

Hot topic: "Super Prodigal Spends Six Million Dollars, Buys Three Million Lottery Tickets of Same Number. The Result Is Unexpected."

Many people scoffed at how ridiculous the headlines sound.

However, they were shocked after reading the articles.

"F*ck, it's actually true..."

"Oh my God, isn't that the famous Professor Smith from the University of San Francisco? He actually wants to enroll a high school student into the school. He doesn't even need to sit for the entrance exam."

After the news was released, Smith started feeling unsettled.

"Professor Harforrest Invites Ryan to Her University's Finance Department."

"Beautiful Professor From Yale University Invites Ryan to University's Finance Department."

"The University of Oxford Welcomes You."

..

Ryan obviously did not care about the news online.

He took some time to log on to his live stream account.

The number of viewers quickly rose to a million.

It was simply unbelievable.

"Ah, Ryan is starting his live stream."

"Oh my God, stock God, I'm here to pay my respect."

"Ryan, can you lend me some money? We are a new technology company. You're welcome to invest, we'll give you 20% of the shares."

"Ah, he looks more handsome here compared to the live broadcast?"

The gifts in the live stream room were overflowing.

It only took Ryan a while to earn tens of thousands of dollars.

There were all kinds of comments in the comment section.

Ryan looked at his phone and had an idea.

This was because the system had prompted him.

Live stream, it's now the age of short videos. Whatever the host says will have different effects on the live stream, causing the results to be different.

'What if I say, you're all Ryan bunch of idiots? How much revenue would I get?' Ryan thought.

Analyzing.

Revenue: 100,000 dollars.

Reason: although it will cause public anger, everyone now thinks that you're a talented person. Your social media accounts have a huge amount of traffic, but there will be a risk of getting banned as many people may complain and your language is inappropriate.

'Then what if I say, all of you can post advertisements as you please?'

Analyzing.

Revenue: 500,000 dollars.

Reason: advertisements in live streams get a lot of views and traffic. However, since there is no administrator, it will be difficult to achieve a balance in competition.

Moreover, there are no restrictions so the revenue will not be ideal.

The program team glanced at the increasing number of viewers in Ryan's live stream room, they turned green in the face.

Ryan's current fixed fans were more than 16 million.

His number of viewers had reached more than five million.

What an astounding number.

'Then what if I say that I'll live stream me accepting the prize money later, and that I'll give three minutes of advertising time to the person who gives me the most gifts?'

Analyzing.

Revenue: 3 million dollars.
