Chapter 2 - The Young and Frivolous, Who’s Afraid of Whom?

Everyone that was in front of the current Ryan was a stranger to him.

'So what if he's 'father'? He's not my father?'

'So what if our memories have fused? This man is at most a familiar stranger.'

Ryan's father, Jon, widened his eyes and looked at his son in disbelief.

He flew into a rage the very next moment, "Damn it, you punk. How did you end up like this? Is this how you're supposed to talk to me?"

He quickly pounced on Ryan and grabbed his neck with both hands.

The scene was chaotic.

"Damn, this brat knows no bounds. He has the audacity to scold his father?"

Ryan looked at the person in front of him—supposedly his father—pouncing on him.

He instinctively kicked him.

BANG!

His kick landed on Jon's stomach. The strong force made Jon lose his footing, he took a few steps back and crashed onto the coffee table.

CRASH!

The glass shattered all over the floor.

The program team was in a state of chaos as they filmed the entire process.

Everyone in the United States saw this.

"This brat really has the audacity."

After more than ten minutes of the program team's constant coordination, the father and son were pulled into two separate rooms.

Ryan did not have any emotional fluctuations at all. His memories were fused with the late Jon's so he felt a little guilty. However, he was more distracted by the system that had suddenly appeared in his head.

He was a fuerdai in his previous life—the son of a wealthy tycoon.

However, he had never seen anything as fascinating as the system.

This made Ryan feel really happy, he completely ignored the persuasion of the program team.

The super investment system, as the name itself implied, was used to invest.

According to the system, he could see the rate of return of the investment for every single thing that he saw, as well as its risks and reasons.

'This is defying the laws of nature.'

"With such an existence, does where I stay really matter? It might take me a while, but I can still become one of the richest people in this world."

The hesitation, helplessness, and fear that he felt at the beginning of his transmigration had all dissipated.

All of the worries that he had disappeared in an instant.

The thought of this made Ryan's gaze determined.

He made an oath.

He will live this life freely.

He will live this life to the fullest.

'Richest man or whatnot, these people will all be below me'.

In this life, he must become the tallest mountain that no man can climb.

As he thought of this, the program team staff beside him reminded him, "Ryan, there's still half a day before start work. If you're late, 3,000 dollars will be deducted from the full attendance award for that month; and if you're late more than three times, your annual bonus will be deducted. You really have to be careful."

Ryan glanced at the person who spoke and rolled his eyes.

He then extended two fingers.

"What do you mean?"

Everyone was stunned.

'There is something wrong with this rich kid's brain.'

Ryan said angrily, "Cigars? The program team didn't prepare any?"

"Cigars..."

'This brat actually wants to smoke cigars?'

'He even has the gall to ask the program team for cigars?'

"Uh... We didn't prepare any?"

"You didn't prepare any?" Ryan looked at the person in front of him and continued, "Then I won't be going today. I'll stay at home and laze around instead."

"Wahahaha, this brat really is something. He definitely is something. He's a talent. I reckon that this one-month experience will probably mess up his father's post. He's crazy."

Seeing that Ryan really had no intention of moving, the program team had no choice but to satisfy his request and brought a cigar over.

Ryan lit the cigar himself and took a light puff.

"Ptooi! Ptooi! What the heck is this!?"

He threw the cigar on the ground and shouted, "Who smokes this kind of trash? Forget it, it's time to go for a walk. This place is too unfamiliar, it makes me uncomfortable, it's cramped and there are many people."

Everyone else, "..."

Ryan got to the garage. He looked at the BMW 5 Series in front of him, he froze on the spot, "Tell me, does that father of mine usually drive a trashy car like this to work?"

"Uh, Mr. Ryan, there's indeed no other car here..."

Ryan felt reluctant but still got into the car. The two program team members sat in the back seats and continued filming.

The program team members were terrified throughout the entire car ride, they had to warn him several times.

Ryan drove the car and ran more than ten traffic lights.

Memories of Jon continued to fuse with his own memories as he drove.

Although his father, Jon, was a manager in a company and earned a million dollars a year, the business world was like a dangerous battlefield.

The people below him were all eager to have him replaced.

Those above him were also constantly on guard and were worried that he would take over their positions.

Everyone below him had the opportunity to replace this job of his that earned a million dollars a year.

In order not to lose his job, Jon had been staying out and getting drunk every night to facilitate investment deals with various companies.

"That's a really rotten life. He's so weak. But why does the original Ryan hate his father so much?"

At that time, Jon almost went crazy when his son took out his bad report card with failed grades.

He had worked so hard, but his son was at school wasting his life and failing his exams.

The relationship between the father and son reached its breaking point.

One was busy every day and worked like a dog.

The other was rebellious every day and causing trouble.

The arrival of the program team broke the deadlock between the father and son.

Ryan couldn't help but sigh as he recalled these memories.

"The relationship between the two of them is really a mess."

While he was a fuerdai in his previous life, his relationship with his father was still very good.

The current Ryan felt pity for the original owner of this body.

'He didn't have what it takes to be a fuerdai.'

'Didn't he know why his pop was so busy every day?'

'He even wore branded clothes and went to bars every day.'

"Since the heavens allowed me to live again in this body, it's also some kind of fate. Let me—your son—bring you auspiciousness."

Making money quickly was the most important thing right now.

Ryan also discovered something great while he was recollecting his memories.

The world that he had transmigrated to was a parallel universe.

Technology in this world was developing well, but all of the big companies in his previous life were non-existent.

For example, Google, Apple, Oracle, and other big companies had yet to appear in this world.

The thought of this made him even more excited.

He was going to make big money.

He was going to earn money, accumulate his wealth, and immediately set up a company that would earn him billions of dollars every single day.

"Mr. Ryan, you can drive slowly. Your father's company is just around the corner."

The program team reminded him carefully.

'This fuerdai has a bad temper...'

Ryan paused, he saw a familiar company building that matched the one in his memories.

He got the program team to park the car as he walked into the company. All the staff members looked at him and whispered to each other.

"This is Manager Jon's son?"

"He's rather decent looking?"

"Oh no! Oh no! I haven't even put on makeup yet, why is the program team here?"

"Ryan is so handsome? I heard that many girls like him? It would be great if we could go on a date."

"Date? He doesn't seem to be of age. If you get yourself involved with him, you will go to jail?"

"He's just a young boy, so what if he's handsome? If it wasn't for the TV program's popularity that will give the company free advertising, the chairman would never have agreed to such an absurd thing, this is a joke."

Among the people present, some were surprised by Ryan's looks, and others were waiting for some drama to happen.

Ryan looked at them as if they were a bunch of jokers.

Having lived two lifetimes, he had seen all kinds of things. The scene before him did not make him feel the slightest bit of fear.

He went up to them and introduced himself.

"I'm Ryan."

"That's it?"

"He's just going to introduce himself like this?"

"Isn't he a little too arrogant? I can already imagine his father's reaction when he returns to the company. Haha, this brat really is something."

Everyone in the company was also a little stunned.

Just what kind of "father" had he found.

Meanwhile, the viewers of the live broadcast skyrocketed.

There were all sorts of comments.

"This child, it feels like he needs to be beaten up."

"Why do I want to go up and beat him up so badly?"

"Don't say that. The people like pretty faces. This child won't have a bad future—perhaps you will see his face in some places that women like."

"He doesn't have stage fright, but he doesn't have the slightest bit of courtesy. This child is going to cause a ruckus."

"His father is only middle-class, right? I feel like this brat is acting like a crown prince! Those people from the company have become the commoners in his kingdom?"

Jon's subordinate in the company came up to Ryan and handed him a document.

"Manager Ryan, here are some of the investable projects compiled by the investment department, please take a look."

His job as a manager of the investment department was to help the company select necessary and worthy investment projects.

The selection would then be handed to the board of directors, who would have a meeting to decide whether or not to invest.

This was why his subordinates naturally submitted the documents to him when he sat down.

Ryan nodded and placed his feet on the desk without a word.

Then, he scanned the file in his hand.
