Chapter 25 - The True Purpose of the CIA

It was 9 am in Washington, D.C.

The first group of 15 convicted felons to be 'released' from Washington State Prison were taking off their uniforms, changing into police uniforms, and trying to apprehend Peter.

The 15 felons were divided into three teams, each equipped with a bulletproof police vehicle.

This delighted the felons, who had no idea what kind of fugitive Peter was.

They only knew about Peter's escape based on the information provided by the Washington prison.

As for Peter's torture and killing of 110 felons in New York, the Washington police department and the prison deliberately hid the truth. They lied to the felons, saying that the felons in New York had an internal conflict in the process of capturing Peter, in addition, some of the felons made a run for it.

Peter escaped to Washington without much effort.

This statement was originally untenable because as the felons went out, they could learn the truth of the matter through the Internet. But the Washington police department was sure that as soon as they showed up and began to capture Peter, the result would be predictable, that Peter would start killing again.

The first batch of 15 felons was likely to be wiped out. Not a single one of them would leave alive.

"Look, the Washington Police Department finally couldn't take it anymore. Peter had only escaped to Washington for more than ten hours, and they had already released the first batch of felons."

"To be honest, I actually feel a little sympathy for these felons now. Meeting a god is simply a nightmare."

"What's there to sympathize with? You guys don't know that when these felons tortured and killed ordinary people, they didn't have the slightest bit of remorse."

"That's right. I still remember that when the god killed Bloodhand Black in New York, there was a little girl who thanked the god in the live broadcast room."

"I also remember that little girl. If it wasn't for Peter avenging her sister, she wouldn't have been able to avenge her sister's death for the rest of her life."

"Look, the 15 felons have found Peter. He's on 5th Street."

Peter was originally looking for a gun shop to replenish his ammunition. His only weakness now was that he did not have a huge network of connections, which was very disadvantageous for him to replenish his equipment.

Just as Peter was looking for a gun shop, a team of felons found Peter based on the profile picture provided by Washington prison.

A fierce gunfight was about to break out.

This was a five-man team of felons. After they found Peter, they immediately called for backup and reported the location of Peter to the other felons.

They were not stupid, there was strength in numbers. The fact that this Peter could escape to Washington state alone without getting hurt was enough to prove it.

Peter was not to be trifled with!

A few minutes later, two other teams of felons arrived. They gathered together and discussed how to capture Peter.

At this time, there was a continuous flow of traffic on 5th Street. There were also many people shopping on the sidewalks.

Through the surveillance cameras, the program team felt a sense of unease.

There were too many people here. If they arrested Peter here, it would definitely cause a gunfight between the two sides, and it would also cause a large number of deaths and injuries to the innocent bystanders.

This was not the outcome they wanted to see.

"Director, is there any way to lure Peter out of 5th Street? It's best to lure him out of downtown Washington."

The director of the Escape Program team, Johnson, also understood that the current situation was dire.

He immediately contacted the Washington police department.

After a short wait, he received a response from the Washington police department.

The police department first informed the 15 felons to stand by, and then the police chief personally went to the CIA headquarters in Washington.

The communication was relatively smooth, and the CIA immediately contacted Mole.

At this time, Mole was resting in a hotel, he was frightened by last night's encounter.

He got a call from the CIA and reluctantly left. He drove his SUV, which had been repaired by the CIA, to the scene where Peter had been captured.

Mole arrived on 5th street ten minutes later. He did not see the 15 felons. They must have hidden in a corner.

He drove the SUV on 5th Street. Because of the heavy traffic at the time, the SUV was moving at a slow speed, but it was also good for Mole to observe the shops on both sides of the street.

Not long after, Mole finally found Peter.

He saw Peter walking out of a gun shop with his backpack full of things.

Suddenly!

Their eyes met!

Mole and Peter looked at each other through the window of the SUV.

Oh no!

Run!

Mole jumped out of the car and ran away, leaving the SUV behind. He nimbly jumped over the guardrail, ran across the street, and then ran into the crowd.

Peter did not chase after Mole. He went straight to the SUV that Mole had abandoned. He climbed into the driver's seat and started the engine to move slowly with the vehicles in front of him.

After running a distance, Mole turned around and saw that Peter had driven his SUV away. He opened his mouth and exhaled loudly.

He walked into an alley, ran out of the phone, and dialed a number.

"This is Mole! I threw the SUV on the road as you said, and I saw Peter drive away with my own eyes. When will you fulfill your promise to me? How will I get my legal identity overseas? I know, I'll leave after killing Peter!"

Mole hung up the phone, turned around, and went to an address that the CIA had told him. It was an experimental base secretly set up by the CIA to develop a special drug that could enhance human physical strength and mental strength.

However, the drug was still in its experimental stage. After using it, the human body would have an unstable after-effect.

This after-effect would cause changes in the human body. It could be that the hair on the body was abnormally strong, or it could be that the body had an irreversible decay.

Mole did not care about the after-effect at all, as long as it could kill Peter.

He was gambling!

He was betting that after he injected the drug into himself that could change the quality of the body, the after-effect would be within his tolerable range.

The scene switched to Peter driving the SUV. He found a backpack in the passenger seat.

He opened the backpack and saw a pistol and a magazine inside.

Peter picked up the magazine and saw that there was only one bullet in it.

Huh?

This guy was scared away by him and forgot to take the pistol and magazine with him.

That's not right!

Why was there only one bullet in the magazine?

"God-level perception skill activated."

Peter activated his god-level perception skill and slowly looked into the pistol, then to the magazine, and then to the bullet.

There was something wrong with this bullet!

This was not a bullet that could be fired normally. The interior of the bullet had been modified.

Peter took the bullet out and pinched the shell of the bullet with one hand and the bullet with the other hand. He exerted force with both hands and pulled the bullet out directly.

What was this?

Peter found a note inside.

He took it out and unfolded it. There were dozens of names written on it. On the back of the note was the CIA logo.
