"Young Madam, your makeup is ready—do you like it?"
The female makeup artist whispered in Gu Xia's ear as she lazily opened her eyes and yawned.
Then she took a look in the mirror...
And was stunned for a good ten seconds...
The air seemed to freeze.
"Young Madam, if you're not satisfied, we can redo it now. There's still enough time," the makeup artist said cautiously, afraid of disappointing their wealthy client.
"That in the mirror... is that really me?" Gu Xia was incredulous.
The makeup artist and the stylist both smiled and nodded slightly.
"Goodness, this isn't just makeup, it's like wearing a new skin!"
Gu Xia had never worn such exquisite makeup in her twenty-four years.
So, seeing that unfamiliar version of herself in the mirror was genuinely startling.
She couldn't believe it and stood up, leaned closer to the mirror, carefully observing, and even pinched her face to make sure it was indeed herself.
