"Dammit," Mei thinks to herself. Her eyes shift to Chitose's motionless figure before glancing over at Jax. "Jax, take Chitose to safety!"
"Got it!" Jax carries Chitose through the treacherous terrain, his arms straining with each step, determined to keep her safe.
Meanwhile, Astran hobbles back to the battlefield, her face contorted in pain as she clutches her wounded arm.
As Jezebel grins, a wicked glint dances in her eyes. "Time to fizzle out the rest of the prey."
"Guys, I'll stall her as long as possible. While I do that, get rested and conserve your energy!" says Mei.
Mei's hands ignite with flame JōKai, and with the assistance of Wind JōKai, she launches a relentless storm of fiery bolts toward Jezebel.
Jezebel dodges most of the firebolts, but three manage to strike her, causing a sharp cry of pain to escape her lips. Mei forms Flame JōKai on her hand, the crackling sound of the fire growing louder, engulfing the air with its fiery roar. As the flame blazes, it grows in size and intensity, eventually morphing into a sizeable fiery orb that Mei launched at Jezebel. "Flame Summoning: Searing Heat Ball!"
Jezebel braces herself as a colossal fireball hurtles towards her, its scorching heat radiating in all directions. Jezebel, in a desperate move, transforms her body into a hardened shell, hoping to shield herself from the imminent impact. But as the fireball engulfs her, the intense heat weakens her protective barrier, making her scream in anguish.
"You Bitch!" Jezebel escapes from the blazing heat ball, the intense heat making her skin tingle as she pushes herself onward. She darts toward Mei, her claws glinting as she readies herself to deliver a devastating blow.
"Here she comes!" Mei leaps into the air and then summons Flame JōKai on her hand. She unleashes a devastating volley of Flame JōKai orbs assisted by Wind JōKai toward Jezebel. "Flame Summoning JōKai Elemental Combination Technique: Descending Ember Volley!" The fiery orbs soar through the air, leaving behind blazing trails that light up the night sky as they race toward Jezebel, engulfing her in a searing inferno that immobilizes her.
Mei's focus turns to the group, her breaths heavy and her chest heaving with rapid movements. "Ok, guys, once she comes up, be ready for her attack."
We now go to the POV of Navar lying wounded on the ground, his body throbbing with pain. "Damn, that bite of hers hurt," He pushes himself up, and he winces as a sharp sting shoots through his neck. His hand reaches for the source and encounters a throbbing lump. "Damn, what the hell is this? Ah, never mind! I don't have time worryin'! They need my help!"
We now go back to the POV of Mei and the group, and they feel a sudden jolt as the ground beneath their feet trembles, its vibrations traveling up their spines. "She's coming, everyone! Be ready!" says Yimono.
Jezebel emerges from the earth and unleashes a relentless onslaught of needles towards the group. Mei hurls a barrage of fireballs, their scorching heat melting the needles in mid-air.
"I've got you now," In one fluid movement, Jezebel infiltrates Mei's defense and unleashes a crushing attack, launching her into a barrage of boulders.
Seiju, undeterred, springs into action, the arrows on his bow radiating a brimming heat. The fiery arrows shimmer with a fierce brilliance as he prepares to unleash his attack. "Flame Bow: Two Arrow Shot!"
Astran's posture shifts into a summoning stance as a shimmering blue ball of energy takes shape. The energy swirls around within her hand, crackling and pulsating before she releases it. "Cosmic Summoning: Stardust Burst!"
Jezebel evades Astran and Seiju's attacks, leaving her unscathed. With a swift strike, she sends Seiju and Astran crashing through the dense foliage.
As Chonozori takes in the chaotic scene, his focus shifts to Miri and Yimono. "I have a plan, but you both must stall her for a bit. Can you do so?"
"Sure, what is your plan?" asks Miri.
"I'll call upon animals to distract her, but I'll need some time. It'll require multiple attacks from both of you. Can you do it?"
"Yes, leave it to us," says Yimono.
"Good. Once they come, leave the area. I can't promise you those animals won't attack you. My use of this ability isn't as finely tuned."
Miri and Yimono engage, summoning their JōKai and preparing to fight her. Miri gracefully leaps onto her hands, her legs spinning like a cyclone, creating a whirlwind of motion. "Two Dagger Leg Variant: Fenrir's Wrath!" Miri's attack spins at remarkable speed, creating a powerful force that assaults Jezebel's midsection.
"You little brat!" Jezebel attempts to strike back, but Miri uses JōKai Awareness to grant her the ability to sidestep the attack.
Yimono comes flying in, the wind whistling through his hair as his hands shimmer with two green boar spirit constructs. "Mystic Martial Arts Way Of The Boar: Strong Force!" Yimono opens his palm and strikes Jezebel, the powerful blow sending her crashing into the surrounding trees.
Jezebel returns, her face contorted with anger. "You little brats are plucking my nerves."
Out of nowhere, a flurry of animals burst out from the forest, causing Jezebel to be distracted. "Where the hell did these come from!"
"Yimono, stay back. I don't want you in the way of this attack," says Miri.
"Understood," says Yimono.
Miri runs toward a tall oak tree and propels herself off its sturdy branches, soaring through the air toward Jezebel. Miri readies all four daggers in all four of her slots. As she uses JōKai Exertion, her body undergoes a mesmerizing transformation into a swirling purple cyclone. "Four Dark Daggers: Four Fang Feral Death Strike!"
Suddenly, a blinding burst of Light JōKai emerges from the opposite direction, and Miri's face lights up with a knowing smile, recognizing Navar's arrival. "Right on time."
As Navar springs into action, his body becomes enveloped in a brilliant aura of Light JōKai, casting a luminous glow that brightens the surroundings. At the same time, he propels himself forward with JōKai Exertion. "Shining Sword: Dynamic Salvation!"
Chonozori withdraws the animals he summoned from the forest, their presence fading. "Hopefully, this defeats her," Chonozori thinks to himself.
Navar and Miri's combined assault lands with devastating force, causing destruction. The ground trembles beneath them as Jezebel collapses onto the ground.
