Chapter 7 - Part 7 (Where in the heart?)

"They are transforming into real limbs, Oh God!", I said and suddenly, Sam fell down.

"What happened?!", I asked in complete horror.

He felt his head with his hands and grasped for breath.

"My head is paining like shit. Maybe I can also feel the limb".

"What the fuck? How can you..."

His phone fell off his pocket and there was a call on his phone. It was from Nina.

"Nina's calling", I said to him.

"Why the fuck is she calling?"

"I don't know. But it's not the time for all that shit. Should we simply run away from here?"

He breathed more heavily than before, and his white head had completely turned red.

"This pain is unbearable. What do we do of the limb?"

People ran in terror out of the building as more limbs began materialising with more blood and bits of skin and hair in the air.

We ran out as well and found our car completely dilapidated. The car was thrown upside down and the mirrors and windows were smashed into pieces.

"I am gonna die, Ben", Sam said, clutching on my shirt as hard as possible.

"You will be fine."

Apeisynthecoid was slowly getting visible in the air, all over the atmosphere of the city.

"What do we do of the limb that XY said to us?", he asked.

"I think the situation has gone way beyond anyone's control. We need to get a car to get out of here".

As we began to roam around, the Apeisynthecoid was materialising into its true shape and form. Suddenly, the sky was filled with pink jelly. The sunlight had now decreased, obviously due to the dense, wiggly fluid. You could easily see the limbs going through most of the people.

"I don't even know what to say", he said. I took the phone out of his pocket. He was in so much pain that he didn't even notice this. I began messaging Mr. XY about the situation and what should we do. Just then, a message by a girl named Jessica popped up on the phone screen.

'Hey, won't you meet?', the notification glowed brightly as I heard another head bursting and people screaming.

"Is Jessica your girlfriend now?", I asked him.

"How did you... Is there a message from her?", he asked, closing his eyes as tightly as possible to endure the pain. I could see the outline of a limb passing through his head. But why hasn't it happened with me?

"She wants to meet you".

"Text her this location. Fast!". He was wailing in pain and sat down on the road, resting his back on an electric pole.

I texted her the location. An immediate reply came from her.

'I am nearby. Will be there in five minutes, babe.'

There was again a call from Nina. This time I cut her call and just straight up blocked her number.

Far somewhere, I could feel cars crashing and people shouting and wailing at the loudest of their voices. This is the most chaotic shit I have ever felt in my life. I could clearly hear a woman crying and howling the name of her son, who must have died.

From afar, I saw a blonde girl with a limb very clearly passing through her head waved and ran towards us. I waved back and patted Sam on his back to open his eyes.

I have never seen him more happy than before. He smiled, forcefully but he smiled and they hugged each other. Whispered something into each others ears and kept smiling. She had brought a balm as well and began applying it to his forehead. The limb through her head was totally visible so I couldn't even imagine the pain she was feeling.

In between this, Sam looked at me and signalled me to go away. Sisterfucker. I thought in my head and decided to give them some much needed privacy. While going away, I began to follow the limb passing through Jessica's head.

After walking a distance away, I looked back. They were kissing. Very passionately. I could never imagine him doing something like this with Nina. But to leave Nina, only because she was a prostitute, felt a bit unfair to me. But yeah, if I come to know something like this out of the blue, then I would freak out as well. Questions galloped in my head as I walked following the large, almost cylindrical limb.

I texted Mr. XY about Sam's condition and what should we do. Still, there was no reply from his side. As I kept walking, I reached the origin of the sound of the grieving mother. She was surrounded by a crowd which shamelessly watched her cry and howl over her blooded son. The drops of tears fell on the large stream of blood.

I began filming it. And then I ran across the street to film another such event of a grieving man over a dead woman. I sent them to Mr. XY and saying it was his fault. I wasn't really sure of that text.

I kept following the limb. Now, the whole city was slowly coming under the gigantic Apeisynthecoid. The blue sky had turned into a more dense and viscous pink jelly with the the limbs and it's tentacles spread everywhere, passing straight through others' heads and bodies. Except me. Which intrigued me.

As I walked by a silent lane following the limb, I began to peek into people's houses and could see them completely immersed in their own works or activities. These people cared the least about the world and were very busy in their own work. One of the guys was busy typing on his laptop, another old man was busy making a hill of some kind from playing cards. These people's heads barely had any sign of a limb or tentacles passing through them. It set me into thinking. Why weren't the limbs materialising themselves in some of the bodies? And why was I included in them?
