It was a scene from hell, sad cries as resembling a sepulchral lullaby filled the air for the stiff corpse of Yang Mei hanging from the ceiling.
Every mystery club members fell silent in the club room after the commotion in the morning when Scotland yard arrived. At first the constable was about to close the case as a suicide however Prince Yusha pointed out that suicide was impossible since there was no medium. "This is horrendous, why did Yang Mei have to be killed? We're all going to be killed one by one if we solve the seventh mystery!" Exclaimed Alexandrovitch.
"Calm down Alexei, I know but, we all know but, it's unbelievable... Just yesterday Yang Mei was still alive and walking alongside us but now..." Said Madeleine while tears filles her large emerald green eyes.
"Don't you find it odd? Last night she called us to gather here saying she solved the seventh mystery and that she had something interesting to show us, then we happen to see a ghastly figure known as the after school conjurer performing a ritual in the locked biology room, making us break down the door to see absolutely nothing... Something is happening right under our noses and we aren't aware of it. I don't believe in magic so there must be a logical explanation to it all..." Said Hajime all serious, "I agree with Hajime on this one. Besides what's even stranger is the club room... You can see some shards of glass on the floor as if a mirror fell and broke from the wall but the mirror is intact on the wall, furthermore if she really solved the seventh mystery, as clever as she is she must have left something behind here in the clubroom. Maybe we ought ro look for it, some sort of clue..." Said Sophia and they all nodded to agree.
Just then Rhydian's pupil dilated as he felt something stuck underneath his desk and he quickly bent down to see what it was. A piece of paper secured with tape underneath the desk. He removed it and began to read it loud "Oh how wonderful it is to stroll around this old building with a historical orthodox architecture alone at night, waiting for a prince charming with broad shoulders and fair to come extend his hand to me, imagination going wild as I stare at my own reflection in the golden framed antique mirror on the walls of the room filled with the fresh scent of lavender. Oh the details of the mirror strike me so, the carvings of phoenixes, dragons and nine-tailed foxes; the divine creatures of Asian Myths, the diamonds placed carefully as the creatures' eyes but alas I am not dressed fancily enough to look at my reflection in such a luxurious mirror so the mirror talked and said it did not like my tacky outfit and it broke in thousands of tears, it cried so hard that the earth was shaking, my poor mirror, I promise the next time I come, I shall dress myself in a more colourful and fancier dress; hoping to meet and entice my dear fair prince but for now I bid you farewell."
"Wow, what does that mean? Poetic much?" Asked Madeleine puzzled.
"Believe me Maddie, I'm as puzzled as you are." Said Sophia.
With that they left the room and went on with their daily activities with a heavy knot in their chests. And later that night the Himawari crew mates gathered in the principal's library, having tea and discussing the matter at hand.
"No matter how you look at it, something feels really off." Said Helio.
"Just what is that seventh mystery?"
"A golden framed mirror broken in thousands of shards, in a lavender field, must be referring to that golden antique mirror at the end of the corridor of the old building and underneath a huge pot of lavenders. But the mirror wasn't broken..." Said Yusha.
"Any ideas your highbess Rhydian? Your highness Sophia?" Asked Melody.
"I'm at a loss, I think we need to look into that old diary of the members of the mystery club and their photo album for the past decade. We could find some answers there." Said Rhydian and Sofia nodded.
"Let's call it a night, we need sleep if we are to uncover this mystery and solved the locked biology room murder case but I have a very bad feeling, how uncanny but I feel like this is only the beginning of a series of murder. If we solve it quickly we may prevent another disaster from happening." Said Sophia. With that their little meeting was over and they went off to sleep.
The night was dark, darker than usual as the storm was ongoing. The winds howling louder than ever, the rain drops clattering violently but still sounding like something being deep fried in hot oil. Yet the club room in the old building was lit. A faint candle light could be observed from afar from Its window panes. Alexei was inside trying hard to figure out the riddle Yang Mei had left and suddenly as if struck by lightning he found a possible answer. He then went to the great antique mirror and searched the area cautiously. "Hehe, would you look at that. I think I solved her riddle ugh...."
Suddenly he was struck on the head with a blunt object from behind, he then rolled about the floor, wimping and trying to flee. To his misfortune he was struck again, this time in the left leg. Alexei moaned in pain and turned around to face his assailant, and just then, his pupils dilated, "Y- You... Impossible...ugh" and the final blow was given. The culprit dragged the corpse and cleaned the area. The painful moans of Alexei buried in the dead of the night and the ghastly storm.
