Bai Shuyin peeked again through the corner of her eyes. Her foot almost slipped down the branch when she moved a little too fast. However, curiosity was devouring her. Fortunately, her fast reflexes saved her ass from falling and caught red-handed for eavesdropping.
She pushed the wet bangs out of her face, running her hand through the wet white strands. The snow-haired girl blinked furiously, rubbing her eyes free of water to get a better vision. Her lashes were starting to gather useless rainwater.
She saw the silhouette of the little girl moving around a lot, waving her hands around like she was arguing with someone when it was obvious nobody was there, except a nearly lifeless old man and a gigantic snake that only knew how to hiss. None of her voices were heard either as if suddenly muted.
