Chapter 6 - Who's a good boy?

Bai Shuyin crouched near the river bank, dipping her bare feet into the river as she watched Wang Heiyue train. She had taught him basic training, starting from stretching, meditation, striking, throwing, and even jumping.

Bai Shuyin's lips reluctantly jerked upwards. Wang Heiyue was truly the greatest villain in the novel. He learned everything like a sponge towards water, absorbing all the knowledge. To be honest, Bai Shuyin was secretly pleased.

What was more, he could shift much earlier than the novel mentioned! And that form was just so mochi-like!

Her little baby brother was just so talented. A born prodigy. A genius.

It had been 5 years since Bai Shuyin transmigrated. Five whole years for her to learn about the new world. This alternate world was split into four kingdoms. The author of this novel had decided to use the famous chinese mythology creatures, the four guardians of cardinal directions to represent each Kingdom.

However, only three were mentioned.

Firstly, The Wu Kingdom represented the Vermillion Bird of the South. Aside from the ability to shift into a phoenix, the emperor possessed magical power to control flames. Then, there was the Li Kingdom that represented the Black Tortoise of the North, with the magical power that was able to bend water.

Finally, the Wang Kingdom, where the original story revolved around. A country known for its obsession with war. It gained reputation through it. The Wang Kingdom represented the Azure Dragon of the East with the ability to control earth, however, the original Protagonist, the Crown Prince didn't possess any ability at all.

Why was that? Instead, the shifter was right in front of her, the small steamed bun villain, Wang Heiyue.

Why was Wang Shenqiu the one being the Crown Prince instead of Wang Heiyue? Shuyin was sure there must be an internal conflict within the kingdom that caused such an event to take place.

Anyway, now wasn't the time to dwell on that. The original Bai Shuyin; turned out even their names were similar, was about to die, murdered to be exact, when Wang Heiyue was about 14 years old. That meant she only had three years left to live.

However, Bai Shuyin wondered, where was the original Bai Shuyin? Why was she here instead of the real one?

She thought and thought until a light bulb appeared inside her head and her eyes sparkled. Could it be that the reason she transmigrated was for the purpose to help the original Bai Shuyin avoid her tragic end and save the entire world from this little villain?

If so, she needed to find a way to avoid her brutal and tragic death. Her death needed to be averted. Bai Shuyin shivered at the thought of dying again. Getting hit by a truck once was already enough.

During these 5 years, she had learnt a lot about this sister. White hair and cerulean blue eyes, kinda pale skin, and she had this tattoo on the left side of her chest. Bai Shuyin had wondered if it was a birthmark or something, but this mark had been growing larger and larger each year. Black-like ink spreaded wide from her left chest and now was reaching her shoulder.

She had been checking the mark everyday, but still couldn't depict what it was. The mark currently was looking like a burnt mark instead. However, taking a look at her appearance every single day made her conclude something.

This Bai Shuyin and Wang Heiyue weren't blood related at all, because they didn't look alike. If there were a DNA test like the modern world, she was sure they wouldn't come off as brother and sisters.

But who cared? One didn't have to be blood related to love them unconditionally like family.

'Blood is thicker than water, what a bull,' Bai Shuyin scoffed.

Wang Heiyue had been sticking to her and was very clingy. He even demanded to be physically close to her and asked for hugs everyday, calling "Yin Yin!" and trailing after her. There were morning package forehead kisses and night packages. Little steamed bun would give her huge puppy eyes whenever she forgot about it.

An arrow struck the middle of her heart.

'Ain't that just so… Adorable?!' Bai Shuyin felt like squealing. Despite her cold demeanor on the outside, she couldn't resist cute things at all.

She had always wanted a younger sibling, but her parents had passed away before giving her one. Now she had the chance to raise a little baby brother. Everytime she thought about the soft and cute child that was forced to become evil, Bai Shuyin couldn't stop the fiery anger in her heart.

She had rolled her sleeves up to prepare for a battle, planning to raise this little brother into an exceptionally good man. Not a demonic and tyrannic one. She would lead him in the perfect route of a cultural morally righteous man.

Something slimy slithered right beside her and coiled around her ankle, making her jerked in surprise, only to sigh when she recognized the inky blue scales. A pair of tiny antlers peeked out of the surface of the water before a small dragon head popped out of it.

"Done warming up?" Bai Shuyin questioned as she scratched the rough scales near the bull-like ears lightly. Pleased when she heard the low rumble of purr coming from the dragon.

"Please tell me you shift after taking off your clothes, I don't want to sew your clothes back just because you are too lazy to do such a simple thing," She stared down at him.

He raised his long graceful neck and cocked his head to the side, blinking his innocent huge dark eyes. He actually had the audacity to look baffled, like he had been accused of doing something he definitely did and Bai Shuyin rolled her eyes. "Don't give me that look, steamed-bun."

Wang Heiyue pushed his snout up. The twin barbels on his tiny face shook as he snorted at her. A fluffy tail emerged from the river and pointed at the opposite side of the riverbank. There, Bai Shuyin could see a pile of clothes laying on the grass.

"Good boy!" Bai Shuyin cooed, rubbing her hands all over his face. "Who's a good boy, huh? Who's a good boy?"

Flustered, Wang Heiyue released himself from Bai Shuyin's evil grasp and dived into the river, using his tail to splash at his sister. Cold water hit her bare face as she closed her eyes, chuckling at Wang Heiyue's shy antics.

She watched him blend in the clear water, disappearing from plain sight.

'Ah ah! So adorable ah! How could he be so cute?!'

Tyrant? Peh!

He must be blinded by his love for Li Fantong, the idiotic heroine! Before, he didn't receive much affection, no one cared about him. Now he had his beloved sister, Bai Shuyin patted her own back. Loved had blinded him the first time, she wondered if it would be different this time.

Maybe…

"Ah Yue!" She called out. It didn't take long for Heiyue to appear, however, only the top of his head and eyes were visible, making him look like a crocodile.

"Say, how about we look for a place to stay in Li Kingdom?"
