Something smacked across Bai Shuyin's shoulder and she hissed. She resisted the urge to rub her back. Her body was already bruised from yesterday.
"Straighten your back," Divine Master Yun Shuang nudged the younger woman's back with the blunt tip of her cane until it reached the posture she wanted.
Bai Shuyin's nose twitched as the murky scent of water hit. Today's agenda was meditation and Bai Shuyin found herself struggling in finishing the task. The sound of water dripping from the stalactites was quite distracting. The thundering splash of water from the waterfall was too clamorous.
As if that wasn't enough, the water that dripped would occasionally drop on the crown of her head. It would be good if it was rhythmical, at least she was able to anticipate the next one. But the water decided there was no fun in that and would plop when it desired to.
