Bai Shuyin groaned inwardly, feeling incredibly frustrated. Her arm was getting numbed and she couldn't feel anything with it. The arm was heavy and rubbery, there was also a tingling sensation in the area of the bite.
She wet her lips despite the humid weather and tasted metallic, which was weird because Bai Shuyin knew she wasn't experiencing any damage anywhere near her face.
Sitting under the huge tree, it protected them from the heavy rain but droplets of moisture kept dripping from the leaves and onto both of them. Bai Shuyin squeezed her eyes shut, trying to get rid of the sudden dark spots that appeared in her eyes.
The trees seemed to be doubling themselves as she blinked rapidly.
The rainfall became more intense. The sound of rain hitting the ground was loud, drumming against the earth turned to mud and the noises from the downpour were so piercing like a long, whirring noise, sounding so similar to the rotor blades on a helicopter.
