'Good morning guys!'
'What do you want Aiden?just get out of the room, lemme sleep!' Jake shouted.
'What do you mean Jake, yo guys, get up or else we'll be late.' Aiden reminded.
'Holy crab! I completely forgot about the trip!' Jake exclaimed. 'Everybody, get up, get up , we don't wanna get late for our flight.
And so everyone in room started getting ready for their trip;
Everyone except Tyler knew that they are not just to a luxurious hotel, but to give a surprise to Tyler on his birthday. They acted as if they completely forgot about his birthday, meanwhile Tyler was in tears, trying to hide them, he was looking out of the window of the flight so that no can notice him; he thought that his friends forgot about his special day, he got completely depressed, he was remembering of all his previous birthdays when his friends were with him, celebrating it all.
In the next 30 min the flight was about to land, he tried his best to control his tears; while he was in tears his friends can't resist laughing because they knew what was going on in Tyler's head.
The flight landed, they went into a cafe, which was in the airport itself, to have some snacks and the very second they entered the cafe... Bam!!!
Loud music started to play, the cafe walls were decorated with wishes for Tyler's birthday, and in the middle of the cafe was a very beautiful cake, and the sweet treat was itself a sculpture of Tyler's life.
All the people in there started to sing the birthday song for him, all of them were celebrating.
On Tyler's part, he was again in tears but this time the tears were of joy, which complemented well with his huge smile on his face which he can't stop. He hugged his friends tightly.
'Happy birthday Tyler!' they wished him.
'You guys are the best, I could never find such an awesome friends like you even if I try to, thanks for coming in my life and making it the best one, it's the best day of my life!' he rejoiced.
'Ayyy! We can see that never ending smile, which tells the entire story.' Jake busted.
So guys ,we are going to stay in California's most magnificent hotel , Hotel Mandarin Oriental !!!!' Trumpeted Aiden.
'OH MY GOD! That's so cool.' Exclaimed all.
It was evening till now and the celebration was almost over, all of them decided to head towards the hotel so they hired a taxi to reach their destination.
'Does this hotel have any history?' Jake asked.
'So apparently, the hotel is really old, like 110 years or so, and many rich people than would come here for fun rather than for staying in between the journey, but a sad story too is also related from this hotel.' mumbled Aiden.
'And what is that Aiden?' Noah asked.
'So, it was a happy day, as usual there was celebrations and parties happening all around the hotel and it was basically a pool party and all the elite section people were there, but unfortunately 2 people from that party drowned in the swimming pool, causing the reason for their death at the moment.' explained Aiden.
'So you mean we are going to a haunted hotel?' questioned Noah.
'Ah! When did say that place is haunted? Well I have heard a few stories about that place, where people say that in the swimming pool they feel as if their leg is being pulled as if someone is trying to drag them and kill them, but me being the skeptic I am, I don't believe in all these useless stories.' Aiden answered.
All of them looked at him for a few moments, because they were shocked and were thinking that he could have taken another hotel, what if all the stories were true? What if something happens to any of them? These questions were making them a bit concerned, but at the same time they were excited because none of them really believed in all the spirit theories.
And finally, after an hour drive they reached the hotel; the place was the most beautiful building they have ever seen. It was having glass all over creating a 'royal' color pallet, containing the shades of red and gold which worked as icing on the cake, the but the most that attracted them, was the fine details that made all the difference.
'This pace is damn beautiful! How this can be haunted and stuff?.' Wondered Tyler.
That evening after exploring the hotel a bit, they went to their beds, they had two rooms, both on the different corners. Aiden and Jake were in one room and Noah and Tyler in the other. The rooms seemed a bit creepy to them because there was some weird antique stuff like real deer horns coated with golden paint hung on the wall as decoration. But they avoided it and went to sleep 'cause honestly they were very tired.
That night at 2.33 A.M. –
Noah suddenly got a phone call, he had a desperate look on his face. He suddenly got up and started yelling at Tyler...
'Yo! Tyler, get up, get up fast.'
''Oh man! What happened.?''
'I got a phone call from Jake, he said to rush to their room!' Jake yelled.
''Oh what? At this time? Why?'' Tyler asked.
He was confused but at the same time was a bit scared.
'Ya dude! He did not tell me anything, but we gotta go fast, I'm worried.'
''Let's go!'' Quaked Tyler.
They had to go all the way around the floor to reach the other room, the pool too was on the same floor on the left side of the floor.
'Oh My God! Oh my god!' Noah started screaming. Tyler stopped there but Noah pushed him ahead and said,
'Keep running ! keep running! Don't stop.'
''But why? What happened? Why are you so freaked out?'' Tyler asked hastily.
'I saw the freakin' pool's water moving so much, it literally seemed as if there was a earthquake! Noah shrieked.
They were still running towards the other room, they rang the door bell very impatiently, but there impatience showed it's worth after they saw Aiden's condition.
'Guys! Lock the door, lock the door, fast! Noah was still shrieking.
''What happened Jake! Why did you call us at this time, and Aiden, what all happened to you?" Tyler asked, still alarmed and unknown from the incidents of the moment.
Jake started explaining with his big horrifying eyes,
'So it was around 2:25 A.M. and Aiden was in deep sleep, suddenly he shrieked in great pain, I got up because there was a sudden noise, and when I got up , the first thing I saw was the curtains moving, the way it moves when there is a strong wind blowing, it was literally in the air and guess what, there was no breeze in here, I'm not even joking. Then I looked at him and he had these scratches on his arm, and these look completely fresh, see can't you guys see?'
''OH MY GOD! Why this is happening to us? Aiden are you okay? How did it all happen, first of all?" Noah inquired.
'So I was in a dream, I don't remember much 'bout that dream, but it seemed more like a lucid dream, it seemed as if I was experiencing it myself as if in reality, it seemed less as a dream but more as a reality. All I remember was that, I was running from something and then it felt as if it hit me hard, and when I got I saw these scratches on my arm.' He answered.
"But wait, Noah you guys looked so tensed and shocked when you entered the room, did anything happened to you too?" Tyler asked.
'Remember that "haunted pool?" we were coming to your room and we saw the water in it shaking in a terrible manner, as if there was an earthquake!' They replied.
''Why we even are here? I think we should leave this hotel right now, and the problem will be solved, isn't it?" Jake suggested.
'But what if... It is not the place we are right now haunted, what if it is "us" haunted? Tyler gasped.
'What do you mean by "we" being haunted?'
'I mean, what if we are being followed by spirits or some kind of energies, instead of the places we go to, what if that thing is following us every single place we go, and we think that we have found something?' Tyler expressed.
'Oh yah dude, this can happen very much, what should we do now?' Aiden feared.
All the four were astonished at what just happened to them and what did they just discovered, they were tensed and confused at the same time, it was all so
suddenly happening that they were unable to figure out what they should do. After 30 minutes of thinking, Aiden suggested an idea.
'What if we go to a priest or father to cleanse ourselves?
''Cleanse ourselves?'' Jake quarried.
'Yeah, I mean, there is nothing bad in that, and if some sort of energy might be following us, then the priest will bless us and we will be saved, 'cause guys, earlier it didn't harm us, but now it is affecting all of us and especially this it is giving me injuries too.' Aiden suggested.
'Yeah man, I think Aiden is correct, we all should go to a priest and see what he has to say, it's like 3.30 now, let us just sleep now and we will get outta here early morning , okay? Tyler suggested.
All of them agreed with this idea and decided to go to the priest early morning.
The next morning...
'Why did the alarm didn't ring?' 'Let's be fast, the priest will leave the church in next 45 min.' Tyler said.
'Oh we don't have time to discuss all this let's be fast.' he got a reply.
They left the hotel in haste, they wanted to reach as early as possible, but just then, there came a closed railway crossing and made them wait for another 20 min before they could go to other side of the crossing.
'OMG Noah, drive safe!' Aiden cautioned.
"Yeah, yeah I am trying to."
'Oh my god! Another traffic signal? It seems as if some force is not letting us reach to the priest, first the alarm went off, then the freaking railway crossing and now tones of traffic signals, seems like some force is trying to stop us, so that we don't go near to him.' Noah hissed.
'AOH! Do you think it can be the same energy?' Aiden predicted.
'Who knows, it can be anything, maybe our bad luck too, ah let's leave it at least for now.' Jake replied.
They at last reached to the priest, just a moment before he was about to leave. The priest just did the cleansing rituals, he seemed as if he was trying to run away from the rituals and just end them as soon as possible.
After completing the rituals, the priest just said a "now you are safe..." and left the church.
The boys too got back in car, to go their place again.
'Yo dude! Listen, don't you guys think he was a bit strange?' Tyler queried.
'Yeah, as if he wanted to say something more but he preferred silence. And that also means that it was "us'' who were haunted.' Aiden replied.
'Um... who cares? We are free from that thing, whatever it was, come on guys, let's party!' Jake exclaimed.
They finally got rid of that energy, everything got better, just like a new life, they began again, a new beginning, Aiden got no more injuries, no more nightmares to anyone of them, they felt way more better and relieved than ever and started living a happy life, a happy ending of a chapter of their lives and they all were convinced with the thought that there life is going to be just the same even in the upcoming time.
But did anyone of them realize that it was a happy ending of just a chapter of their life, but not of their whole life?
