Qin Xiang, who was initially approaching Chen Kai, suddenly stopped, furrowed her brow, pinched her nose, and spoke with a look of disgust.
"Where have you been? Why have you come back smelling so foul? Go to the bathroom and take a bath immediately, and change into some clean clothes."
Having dealt with the odor on him for the better part of the day, Chen Kai had grown accustomed to it and didn't find it nauseating anymore.
Seeing Qin Xiang's attitude and remembering the half-day he had endured in the ox cart, covered in smells that definitely would be unbearable to others, he awkwardly smiled and walked into the bathroom.
As he closed the door, he still heard Qin Xiang say with disgust,
"It really stinks up the house, how is anyone supposed to sleep tonight?"
Chen Kai yelled through the door panel,
"Open the windows and let the smell dissipate. Isn't there an air freshener? Spray some of that to mask the odor at least."
