Qin Yue knew that if she backed down now and confused her mother, then slowly figured out a plan, perhaps everything would be fine. Yet Qin Yue was adamantly unwilling to do so. Her stubborn nature took effect, and so she raised her voice.
"Why do you insist on doing this? Do you think I will surrender just because you say so? Let me tell you, even if I don't have a penny to my name, I will never break up with him. You might as well give up on that idea."
Mother Qin sighed in resignation.
"Do you think anyone will want you if you have no money? Let me tell you, I've been over more bridges than you've walked on roads. I can see clearly at a glance what men are like in this world."
"That man is not sincere toward you, and he's not a good person either. Any decent person would never sink to the level of a hoodlum."
