Qin Ying had been sitting in her office chair all day, wearing a gloomy face.
Chen Kai thought she was still worried about the private detective issue, so he comforted her with a smile.
"Hasn't that matter been resolved? I'm sure those people won't bother us again."
Qin Ying gave Chen Kai a bitter smile after coming back to her senses.
"I'm not worried about that, rather there's a charity banquet tonight that I must attend."
Chen Kai nodded, relieved to know she wasn't fretting over the detective, but then why was she worried about the banquet?
"Are you worried about encountering some danger there? Feel free to put your heart in your stomach. As long as I am there, I won't let anyone hurt a hair on your head."
Qin Ying gratefully smiled towards Chen Kai, then shook her head.
Chen Kai looked at her, puzzled, "What's the matter then?"
