Seeing Chen Kai getting angry, Qin Min and Qin Yue glanced at each other helplessly.
Tears welled up in Qin Yue's eyes again, "We're going home now, you...don't wear yourself out."
Then, quickly stepping out of the room, as they crossed the threshold, sobs could be heard.
Qin Min wanted to say something, but ended up saying nothing and quickly followed.
On their way out, they hadn't forgotten to close the door behind them.
Chen Kai heaved a sigh, pulled out a chair and sat in front of the two sisters, gazing at them silently.
"In truth, it's my fault for not protecting you enough. Rest assured, I won't ever let you experience something like this again."
He stayed awake there all night until daybreak when he finally felt exhausted. He then casually leaned and fell asleep on the edge of the bed.
