Chen Kai saw the situation was getting out of hand and it was too late to intervene. A crisp sound followed by a scream indicated that the revenge slap for what Qin Min had inflicted had already landed.
Baldie, still not placated, wanted to continue the fight. Chen Kai had already grabbed Qin Min and moved her aside.
Baldie glared menacingly at Chen Kai, "Listen here, you little shit. You better get the hell out of here if you know what's good for you. Otherwise, I'll kill you today!"
Chen Kai shook his head lightly, "Actually, it's me who should say that to you. But only before you decided to hit back. If you had held back the slap, knelt down, sincerely apologized after getting slapped by Qin Min, you might have walked away unscathed. But now..."
In his rage, Baldie had lost his patience for Chen Kai's roundabout talk. He'd barely heard the first two sentences when he interrupted him.
