Chen Kai now had a sufficient understanding of Wang Qiang and recalling his defiant attitude from their earlier conversation, Chen Kai knew he wouldn't back down easily. Although he might not be able to harm Chen Kai in the short term, it didn't mean that he wouldn't vent his anger on An Mengyao.
"I can't let things go on like this, I have to figure out a way to protect An Mengyao."
Chen Kai told himself quietly and after considering it further, he figured there was only one way, or rather, a method which could ensure the safety of Mengyao's life – at least it was the best protection he could provide - to send a message to Qin Xiang proposing An Mengyao as his assistant.
Upon this realization, Chen Kai's mouth raised into a slight smile.
