Chen Kai inwardly groaned, "When will this ever end?" Judging by the demeanor of his opponents, they seemed intent on putting him at the doorstep of death. If it was just minor external injuries, he wouldn't have given it much thought, but now he was at a critical crossroads. Chen Kai realized if he didn't fight back, he was as good as dead.
Not only did he think this, but so did the foreigner wielding the steel pipe, who was about to strike his head.
One precise hit, and even if Chen Kai didn't die, at the very least, he would have a gaping wound on his head - a satisfying vent for the foreigner's pent-up rage.
However, to his surprise, as the pipe was mid-air, it suddenly froze, unable to move. Dumbfounded for a moment, he looked to find Chen Kai's hand gripping the other end of the pipe.
Caught off guard, the foreigner didn't see how Chen Kai had acted with such lightning speed, but sensed the pipe slipping from his grip to Chen Kai's hand all within the blink of an eye.
