Poor Tiger didn't even have the chance to let out a pitiful scream. Around his submerged body, bubbles rose in the river before he sank to the bottom. Chen Kai watched the river bank, his expression somewhat bleak.
"Actually, if possible, I wouldn't have wanted to do this, but you all crossed the line. If I don't kill you, who knows what more atrocious deeds you would have committed."
After saying this, he looked around to make sure the crime scene was clear of any evidence. Only then did he leave with satisfaction.
His actions were not completely driven by fear of criminal justice finding out he was the killer, which could potentially cause him trouble. Because of his relationship with the police and his ability, he was confident of handling any trouble that arose.
