Yang Fan certainly recognized the girl before him as Xia Yuan, and while he felt a bit puzzled, her tone seemed not to be one of genuine concern but rather laced with a bit of teasing, even bordering on mockery.
"You're here too, what a coincidence."
Though politely worded, her tone was distinctly cold.
Xia Yuan, however, didn't mind at all and simply smiled faintly, ordering a Kilimanjaro Snow from the bartender.
"I see you look quite unhappy right now. Is there something on your mind? I heard your wedding is coming up. Shouldn't you be with your fiancée at this time? Why sneak off alone to drink?"
This was clearly hitting a sore spot. Yang Fan didn't reply but instead took another large gulp of his drink and then heaved a long sigh.
"It's a long story. I just didn't realize this had become such a scandal."
Xia Yuan gazed at him with a look of wistful sorrow.
