Upon seeing the old man eating wontons with the air of a Kyoto native, Chen Kai's lips curled up in a smile.
He slowly walked up to the old man and also ordered a bowl of wontons.
The wontons were of course served quickly, yet Chen Kai didn't make a move to eat them.
Instead, he watched the old man with a smile.
"Excuse me, sir, could I ask you about something?"
The old man had finished eating and was just about to stand up and pay when he heard Chen Kai's question. He had no choice but to stop and look at him with a smile.
"That depends on what you want to ask. If I know, I'll certainly tell you; if I don't, there's nothing I can do," he said.
Chen Kai flashed a faint smile.
"Do you know about the Gao Family in Kyoto?"
The old man's expression changed.
"Are you talking about the Gao Family that resonates throughout the region?"
Chen Kai silently nodded.
