Upon hearing this, an expression of indignation instantly surfaced on Li Zixi's face.
But he still patiently asked.
"If there's nothing important, why are you so insistent on meeting my father?"
Li Zixi gently sighed.
"We're meeting because there are things that need to be discussed. If you say there's nothing, it's pointless for me to stay here. I have other things to do, so I'll take my leave."
Having said that, he stood up and prepared to leave.
Chen Kai, however, reached out to stop him.
"Don't rush; I meant that apart from having no other issues, there is, however, a matter that needs to be discussed."
Li Zixi looked somewhat discontented at Chen Kai.
"Joking at this moment seems quite inappropriate. We're meeting for the first time; don't you think your words are a bit offensive?"
Chen Kai simply laughed it off lightly.
"I was only making a joke as I noticed Master Li is quite tense, just to diffuse this awkward atmosphere."
