With that, he stabbed at Lu Wen with a dagger.
Despite his advanced age, Lu Wen's martial arts skills had never waned. He watched as the knife approached him, surprising not moving an inch.
It was not until the knife was nearly at his neck that he abruptly moved aside, and grabbed Xie Enci's wrist.
With a slight exertion of force, half of Xie Enci's body went numb, and the knife involuntarily slipped from his hand, landing on the floor with a spark.
Lu Wen picked up the dagger, remarking,
"This dagger is quite good, it must have cost you a fortune. You should keep it with you."
With that, he handed the hilt of the dagger back to Xie Enci.
Xie Enci stood there, unsure whether to accept or reject it.
Lu Wen let out a long sigh.
"Like I have said, I genuinely do not know what happened. All I know is that my irresponsible grandson drank too much and caused trouble for you. I apologize to everyone here. When I get a chance, I will invite you to drink as an apology."
