As he was deep in thought, he suddenly felt someone patting him on the shoulder from behind.
Instinctively, Chen Kai thought, this must be the kidnapper. With him being so close, if he could subdue this man, he may not need to spend this million dollars after all.
Immediately alerted, he quickly turned around to fight. The man behind him, taken by surprise by Chen Kai's swift action, was abruptly caught by the wrist and twisted around.
The man immediately cried out in pain, "Mercy, sir!"
Upon hearing this voice, Chen Kai knew this was certainly not a kidnapper. Taking a closer look, the man was indeed ragged, with a thin and sallow complexion. It turned out to be one of the homeless men he had just seen.
Chen Kai let out a long sigh. "Why are you sneaking up on me?"
