"What he meant was just that the steamed cornbread you made was really delicious."
The old lady then nodded and said with a smile.
"It's just a bit too cold, I'll add some pickles for you, just make do with a bite. To tell the truth, there really aren't many delicacies in the countryside."
Chen Kai nodded, stood up, and bowed deeply.

The elder sized up Chen Kai with a profound look.
"Since those robbers have already left, I'm not in a hurry to drive you out. It's too dark outside for setting off now; just wait a few more hours for daylight. I think you two should just make do with staying here tonight and set off tomorrow when the sun rises."
