Lin Hui finally finished saying everything she needed to, looking at Chen Kai with a pleading face.
"I've told you everything you wanted to know, and per our agreement, you should let me go. As for the money, I don't want it anymore, I must move my parents to a safe place."
"Otherwise, I really fear I'll die with nowhere to bury me, and even my parents will suffer. I can't allow that to happen. If you have even a shred of conscience, you shouldn't keep me imprisoned here."
Chen Kai was silent for a long while before he finally let out a soft sigh.
"Our agreement was that you would tell me who the mastermind behind all this is, and I need to verify every word you've said is true before I could possibly let you go. You've concocted a person out of thin air, whom I can't even find. How can I let you go?"
Lin Hui stared at Chen Kai dumbfounded, his meaning couldn't be clearer; he had no intention of letting her go.
"You're going back on your word?"
