Head priestess NingNing smiled and then bowed.
"It was an obvious decision. This village was the worst hit one that still exists."
The ones which were worse off, no longer existed. This village had quite a few refugees from said dead villages. It was going to be a pain to check everything up, but now that the river was blocked off, there were fewer chances of such a tragedy repeating.
Head priest Tang smiled, "I did well too, choosing you to be the head priestess was a wise decision of mine, indeed."
Chief Zhao, the oily bastard, nodded his head along with whatever head priest Tang said.
He wasn't a captive listener like the rest, he was a suck up. He was going to agree with everything in hope that pleasing head priest Tang would lead to heavenly blessings for him.
The only heavenly blessings in store for him though, were pigeon droppings.
