The butler stared at Bai Jingfei, mouth wide open.
Quite un-butlery if I say so myself. It was a rather rude gesture but Bai Jingfei didn't care and couldn't be bothered with what he thought of her. She was parading as a princess. She had no reason to be polite or care about impressions.
She was not Bai Jingfei. She was the princess of the wang kingdom.
That meant she could do anything she wanted without any consequences, both because she's a rich and powerful young lady and because any impression she made wasn't going to be associated with her.
"Lead me to the alchemy room." ordered Bai Jingfei haughtily.
"Ma'am you really can't-" said the butler with some hesitation in his voice and a slight stammer, "The heavenly doctor isn't here-"
He knew that if he were to let the 'princess' in he was going to get into quite a bit of trouble. Painful, unavoidable trouble. Heavenly doctor Tang wasn't the nicest person to begin with but he hated his personal space being invaded.
On top of that he treasured his alchemy devices so much that he might stab someone who harms or even scratches them.
He was in simple words, a simp for his alchemy room.
"Does the heavenly doctor have to be here? I am the princess of-" she began yelling, her hand on her hip. The dramatic posture was slightly offset by her fluffy pink dress with cherry blossoms sewn onto it.
She looked adorable but wealthy. And wealth meant power and influence. Power and influence meant trouble for the butler.
He frowned and leaned forward, "I'm extremely sorry but I cannot allow-"
Bai Jingfei interrupted him halfway though, and walked back out the door allowing the butler to take a sigh of relief.
A short lived one.
Bai Jingfei walked next to the tree she had swung her trusty axe from. Well her trusty stolen axe. It was their axe to be precise. She bent forward and soon found it lying in the bushes.
No brandishing her axe yet again, she strolled back toward the butler who had thought the fight was over and the storm had been weathered.
Spoiler alert: it had not.
"Ma'am please. Not the axe. Please put it back." cried the butler out of pure despair. He had seen firsthand what sort of damage the tiny lady could do with it and did not want reruns of that horror movie.
One axe wielding loli nightmare was enough for a lifetime.
"No thank you. Now will you lead me to the room or should I break every door till I find it myself?" she laughed. The butler bowed and led her into the house with an unnatural and stiff smile, "You made a wise choice."
Soon they'd reached the room.
It was full of glass tubes with corks sticking through them. Shiny and looping all over the room it was obvious that they were quite treasured.
"Find me a cauldron." ordered Bai Jingfei.
The butler made a grunt of protest before giving up as he saw the axe in her hands. If the glass pipes in this room were to be broken, he would face death if not permanent injuries at the very least.
Heavenly doctor Tang was not a very kind man.
He dragged out a shining silver cauldron and then hid in the corner in fear of his life.
"There's someone at the door" said the butler in a hurry to get away as soon as possible. Without waiting for a confirmation from Bai Jingfei he ran away as if his butt was on fire.
"That's probably my limestone" whispered Bai Jingfei placidly. She had set everything up. All that was left was to finish up her cement and run.
Like a sparrow in the breeze, Bai Jingfei left a mess wherever she went.
And this time was going to be no different.
