Every eye in the room was on Feng Guang, but Feng Guang was still sobbing like a little baby on the emperor's bed. He wasn't exactly the picture perfect emperor as of now, but he was by law, there was no other emperor candidate in this room.
Had one of the other princes shed at least a single tear, maybe that would've ended in some tear measuring contest, to say that even if someone else had cried first, they had cried the hardest.
Plus, had they cried, they could've contested the will and said that Feng Guang didn't count since he wasn't a prince. Then they would've had at least something to stand on.
But right now they were trying their hardest to fight for something impossible. They hadn't even cried, there was no way to contest it. Plus there was no point crying now that the will had been read out. It was simply a waste of time and energy.
They could only hope that Feng Guang was merciful.
