There was the soft patter of footsteps drawing close to Bai Jingfei, and she wasn't sure whether to be terrified or not. The footsteps got closer and closer and the pitter patter eventually stopped right outside her door.
Bai Jingfei didn't know if her heart was beating louder than the footsteps or not.
Since she had no clue of who the footsteps belonged to, she wasn't sure of what to do at all. She was confident that she would stay hidden behind the door, but she didn't know how long she would be able to stay hidden like that for.
If she made even the slightest sound, then her cover would be blown. There was no way that she would be able to sneak around anymore, now that someone was standing right outside her door, seemingly wasting to enter her room.
Bai Jingfei was a little bit paranoid, but she was confident that they wouldn't enter the room.
After all, even her bed was no longer in the room.
