"I tried to kill you?" whimpered Bai Jingfei, her eyes brimming with tears.
She looked the perfect part of a victim, and in this case she really was the victim. So what if she'd done something that could've killed head priest Tang? Who over here knew that the corks could kill him? And if they knew, who even cared?
Bai Jingfei had not forgotten her grudge against head priest Tang.
He had pushed the summoning of god on her because he knew that he wasn't going to be able to do anything. He knew very well that Bai Jingfei could get into trouble for that but he hadn't cared.
Now that Bai Jingfei was the one in charge, she didn't care that she was bullying head priest Tang. She was doing it willingly and knowingly. It was completely, one hundred percent deserved.
Or at least Bai Jingfei believed that someone that backstabbed and cheated her, deserved it. If it hadn't rained that day god knows where the emperor would've taken the conversation that day.
