I'm at the vet clinic, all sweats and felt sticky. There are a lot of patients at this moment.
Luckily because I paved their way to be saved from those idiotic Inhumans.
I've happened to witness a cruel incident while driving along the way to school. When the red light calls for a stop, my attention is to stick with the two-man who's holding big nets each.
Their eyes wandered as if looking for their prey. Then in a few minutes, the other one smiles with scary eyes and pat the other in his head and point something at the right side of the road.
My eyes got wider when I realized that they're hunting for the street cats and dogs.
As a pet lover and a responsible creature, I got out in just a blink of time, get the two empty cages at the back of my car and run towards those poor animals before the two inhumanely reaches them.
When I've reached them I feed them first and in my surprise, the other one harshly bashed the two cats at the corner, which cause them to bleed and put them in critical condition.
I rush towards that man and talk to him, even though my blood is boiling and ready to sprout some lava in it.
"Stop what you are doing, do you want me to sue you, Sir?" I ask with respect. He just smirks and the other one tries to hold me but in my instinct, I move away causing him to hold emptiness' but air.
"You b*tch!" Said the other one and tried to slap me but I stop his arm and twist it until he pleads to stop it.
My peripheral vision saw the other one get back at me but I kick his two idiotic balls.
Luckily, we caused a scene, and that's a blessing in disguise because three police officers came to us and I let them handle those two bastards.
I immediately grab the two critical kitties, so with the three malnourished cats and the, I think three months old two dogs.
I carefully place them in the cage and rush towards my car that causes a little bit of traffic.
When the policeman stops me, I think his age is the same as mine.
"Are you okay, ma'am?" He asked. I smiled.
"Yep, but this fauna are not. I should hurry up and treat them at our clinic." Then I continue to walk when I realized something's missing. I looked back, smiled, and said "Thank you and please handle those two pain in the ass."
I maneuvers the car and reach the clinic for just five minutes. I call for the others to help me assist and give first aid to the poor animals.
I present as the surgeon of the other poor cat that's in critical condition. We did our best to save them and we did.
"Aena, Dr. Joshtin is looking for you." Said my block mates. I nod.
I head first to the restroom and fix my shaggy uniform and have some retouch. It will be so awkward and disgusting if I enter with a look like I've been in a long walk for weeks, right!
After that, I went to his office. How'd I known where to go? Well, it's where he is. He just rooms around every Friday and when the School President visits. I don't know if he observed us when we're in an operation or not.
I Knocked on the door first. "Come in." He said in a husky voice. I enter and "Good morning Doc, I happened to know that you're looking for me. What's the matter Doc?" I formally said.
That's what's he obliged us to do. If we are in this building he wants everybody to be professional by talking, walking, and the way their work. Additionally, the way we dress.
" I just want to congratulate you for your good deeds and give you this token of appreciation." He showed me a small triangle box. "Open it!" He excitedly said.
I opened it and saw a pendant with a design of paws in it. I sense that there's a fishy smell in this act of kindness, hmmm.
"I can't accept this Doc, I mean I did that because I want to. I don't need a reward." I face him and saw how his smile fades, but he managed to bring it back as if he doesn't want anyone seeing what's behind his mask.
"Then can I burst out this message from my unstable heartbeat?" I was shocked but I absorb it easily and nod. I think I know where is this going.
" I have my eyes on you the first time I work in here." Dr. Joshtin Suson is just three years older than me. He finished his study at the University of Phoenix and he passed the board and top it.
" It's my first time to feel this, the reason I only stay here at my office whenever I know that you have scheduled in the hospital because the beat of my heart is unusual." He stopped and hold his heart, closed his eyes for a moment as if he's reminiscing that day.
"I just want you to know that I like you since day 1 and as the day's adding I think I fall already."
My ultimate crush just confesses his love for me, yeah you heard it right I had also a crush on him since day 1. Oh, correction since the day he passed his exam rather. I only smiled at him.
"That's it I just want to let it out so that's it, the uneasiness finally slowly fading away. Good luck to your internship future DVM." I nodded.
And I don't know what's on my mind that I went near to his place and hugged him tightly.
" I also had feelings for you Sir but we both know that it's against our culture and I think our feelings for each other are not enough for us to commit. You'll be meeting someone who's much more kind-hearted, and a lovely person. And if you find her, I pray that you'd be the happiest."
I felt he hugged me back and doubled the tightness causing us to catch up our breathe and laugh at each other. A small tear escape from my eyes and so with him.
He wipes my tears and places a soft peck on my nape. "I will always remember how my first love rejected me. It was so sweet as the Halo-halo in the street." We laughed at his corny jokes.
I checked the time with the watch that was given to me by my secret admirer and I think my block mates will draw some issue if I stay longer so I decided to bid goodbye now.
"Now, I know who gave this to me!" I show him my watch and smiled.
"Thank you Joshtin!" I hug him again and he responds too. "Till next time, Doc." I nodded and get out in that suffocating four-corner room.
And just that, another man had been added to my rejected list. He really doesn't deserve me cause,
I'm too good to be own by someone.
Yeah, right I still don't want to commit, don't want to get hurt, not ready.
I have a lot of friends and block mates crying in the corner because of their lovers neither they fight nor their relationship ended. I find it cringe when we're in high school but I think I still do sometimes even if wherein a more mature age now.
Luckily my Mama's not pushing me to find someone. Pa and Ma always told me that 'True love is served for you at the right time, so wait for your turn babe.'
I checked the animals I brought in and they're now in good condition. I can't adopt all of them so I will donate them to the Pawshing Foundation and they'll be the ones to find someone who'll adopt these poor animals.
After our shifts in the clinic at exactly 12:00 pm. One of our block mates had a birthday so as the culture in our batch whoever has a birthday he or she should treat us.
We are now in Jollibee and she ordered the good for twelve people and added another bucket of chicken because she knows that we all have dragons that are so hungry in our own tummies.
When the order arrives we dig in as fast as we can because we have another three classes for this day.
Some of us didn't finish our meal but as wise and thrifty students, we take it out and eat it at the way or at the middle of the class without the prof knowing.
Our prof discussed and give us a fifty points quiz. We're all sleepy when she discussed the lesson so we are now nervous about it. But then we still all managed to passed and perfect it.
This day is interesting but tiring. I want to dump myself in my bed but I need to wash first, so I did.
When I dressed up in my sleeping wear. I did what I plan to do earlier. And the tiredness pulls me to sleep faster than I was expecting.
