Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 My hero

" -so we should never give up on our hopes and dreams", I concluded with a big blush on my face.

"Everyone, give her an applause", I turned to my class teacher. " Wow, Sofie, it's an amazing piece. In this coming contest, you will be the competitor from our class".

I was happy with a nervous feeling since I don't have the courage to speak up in front of many people.

"Chill friend, you will do the best", my friend tried to console me but deep down I was like a hell.

I prepared like a soldier in the war. The days quickly went like air and I was still nervous.

By watching the audience, I felt more afraid and didn't go inside. My turn was next and here I was like a rabbit afraid of coming out of the hole.

A hard but warm hand grab my face. I was struck and saw none other than our vice-captain.

" Don't be so nervous. I know you are a brave girl, that's why you are here to compete right?", I was in shock but still I nod my head.

"It's nothing in there, just a bunch of small juniors clapping for a candy. So just be yourself and share your good thoughts okay".

I nodded and went inside. Like he was saying, the audience was small and all were clapping. I smiled and shared my masterpiece.

" Okay now, everybody keeps quiet. The result is here. From category A, the winner goes to Jackson from standard 11 'A' ", our senior, my savior went to receive the present. If he didn't encourage me, I wouldn't have gone onto the stage. He saved me, my hero -

" Sofie", my friend Rose shook me.

"Your name announced", students around me were looking at me.

I blushed. I walked to the stage, received my present and stood next to him. He smiled at me and congratulate me.

" Everyone give them a big round of applause", our principal said clapping.

After reaching the room, Rose quickly checked the present. It was the latest novel with a cash price.

"Oh my God, party", she yelled like a child.
