Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: A small Mind trick.

We were still in the dining room, having launch, and boy how delicious this food tastes.

I believe it's some kind of animal that only exists in the Duke's territory...a magical breed of a deer...but magical.

It's interesting, I feel like I am in a whole different country where food and the ingredients are totally different from what I usually eat.

Said Molly basically criticizing me while eating.

Seriously can't they leave me alone? I am trying to enjoy a meal here!

said her sister Sally

I replied

Who cares! To begin with, what kind of father makes you call him by his tittle?!

Sally said

And I replied I said and continued

The duke this time, slammed his hand on the table and said

But I didn't stop, it was like if Satiana finally gathered enough courage to speak for herself through me

Cassius slammed his hand this time as he stood up from his seat saying and releasing a chilling aura that partially froze the table.

That last word made him snap

The servants approached Satiana and we're about to drag her out and when they were just about to touch her she yelled

She brushed the servants hands and then stood up and faced the duke and with the determination she said out loud

Those words were more shocking to them than what I have thought...even the duke had his cold face react to it.

They went silent for a moment and I was the one who broke that silence To add a little to it, I acted desperate to be freed.

Obviously, all of this was a play! I am trying to make him release my cuffs here, wether I leave this family or not I.DONT.CARE.

In fact, leaving this family will set me free from a lot of troublesome things like the story's original plot or stuff like that...

She raised her arms as sign to unlock her cuffs. The duke sighed and waved his hand towards Satiana and then the cuffs magically fell off when he muttered some kind of secret words. "Tear the fabric" or at least that what I heard...

The moment the cuffs fell off, I could feel the same energy I had felt when I was in the abyss...but it was more vicious...

A grin appeared on Satiana's face for a brief moment and brought about questions

Satiana answered Despite that answer coming out of her mouth, she did not feel the least bit shaken. On the contrary, she looked even more confident than any time before.

Her entourage asked And her answer was a demonstration.

She slowly walked towards the servant girl that brought her out of the detention room.

And raised her face so that there eyes would meet before she fell down unconscious.

Terrified of what happened to the girl, aunt Caitlin asked for explanations

Before Satiana could give any explanations, the twins called for the other servants to chain Satiana.

A few guards stormed in from outside the dinning room and pointed there swords towards the white haired girl.

That's when the duke finally decided to take action.

The temperature suddenly dropped to minus ten degrees or less before taking a few steps towards Satiana He took a stand for Satiana in front of the hostile knights of the family

The knights took a step back and begged for forgiveness assuming there wrong doing.

The duke said

The duke was basically punishing the knights by stripping them of their knighthood.

I was in awe...or more like the Satiana in me was in complete trans. Her father, the man who originally loathed and despised her, is taking a stand for her!

Satiana didn't say a word, the others didn't speak as well, the duke ended up by turning his back. Before leaving the dinning room, he said .

I was quietly escorted back to my room with different servants and asked to be left alone for the night.

Once the door and the curtains were closed, I collapsed on my bed in heavy breaths.
